If he doesn't try to stat pad, then I think he has a place as we seen when responds to the criticism. Sadly we don't have the batting quality that Eng and India possess.
 
Multan can afford to play out Rashid, thanks to the Fakhar innings meaning they are always 20 odd runs ahead at the same stage as Lahore....

Even if he avoids stat padding, the other problem is he bottles it in T20 tournaments. I think we have enough alternatives to finally move on from Babar in T20Is.

The following players should be competing for the top 3 spots:

Muhammad Haris
Saim Ayub
Fakhar Zaman
Abdullah Shafique
Usman Khan
 
Like Afrifi, Rauf has high emotions issue. They can't keep it cool. I guess that is how we Mostly are in Pak.

Do you really rate Fakhar and Usman Khan. Fakhar gets hyped as an aggressive opener but he has pretty average stats.

Harris should be played , he can keep wickets as well.

Saim and Harris should be opening for Pakistan.

I can't ignore Usman Khan's hundred. I've not seen anyone play an innings like that since the days of Shahid Afridi. I'm not inisisting that he starts for Pakistan but he deserves a go in these meaningless bilaterals against B and C grade international attacks.

Fakhar is better suited at 3. He plays better after the powerplay. A case in point is his half century against Australia in the WT20 in the semi final against a top bowling attack.
 
Rizwan must be one of the fastest running between wickets in Pakistan.

Unbelievable when he keeps wicket for 20 overs too.

Not sure. Shafiq looks better. Even Babs is better than Fakhar, just compare them in this tournament. Fakhar has bottled three crunch games.

Placement, power and knows his hitting areas so well.

Then leave it for Fakhar and Abdullah Shafique to compete for number 3.

They never learn. It's funny how Rizwan's loyalists forget about that horrible knock in the Asia Cup Final. One of the worst I've seen in a knockout match featuring Pakistan and that's coming from someone who witnessed every delivery of Misbah's Mohali tuk tuk.

Unfortunately them easy series against B teams and minnows have cost Pakistan in big matches with Rizwan and Babar failing to play quickly enough 90% of the time the quality of opponents finding them out.

This is going to be the test for Rizwan. Can he close out a high scoring chase in a final?

Absolutely. It's given a false perception to the cricketing world and we have fans on here doing bhangra over his awards even though he's been a serial bottler in the last two WT20 tournaments and also in the Asia Cup.
