Are you ready for the big clash?

Azam Khan laid the marker for some big-hitting, whilst Fakhar Zaman did the same for LQ

But the bowling power rests with LQ - or will Islamabad negate that in this clash?

It don’t matter how fast you are once Fakhar is set at the crease

If it’s in the zone, it’s going out of the park!

Mouthwatering match in prospect. Fakhar vs Azam Khan, and captaincies of Shadab vs Shaheen.

Edge is with Lahore as they are playing in home and crowd always supporting them.
Inclusion of rashid has put amazing energy in Lahore team.

Lahore lahore ayee....

Shaheen is more aggressive captain and a good tactician as compared to shadab.
Shadab is lucky as he has got really good bunch of players suited for t20 cricket.

LQ is always proved to be a clicked side

Not a good pitch for bowling, and this is not a good sign specially for a country like Pakistan who produces bowling talent

Those who argue for Sharjeel to open. Why don't you ever argue for Fakhar?

was a wild slog ...i think the ball is staying v low ...need to assess what is a good score

What has happened to Shafique?

This isnt him

This cant be him!

Abdullah batting was far more better than what we have seen from Babar Azam so far in this PSL.

This is the best pitch.the bowl has swung early in the innings. It has consistent bounce for power hitting.

LQ losing the plot here... this could cost them the game. The way they started they should have ended 200+ but now it looks tough

well they are playing BAZBALL i think have faith in haris and shaheens hitting aswell

He plays proper shots. Not a hack. But he still maintains 170 S/R which is wonderful.

Pakistan seems to be developing some real modern day T20 batsmen now. PSL is baring its fruits.

It's called working hard staying fit and learning..unlike other players who talk but actually don't care about their long term careers.

well we got one too many cherry pickers in the team who won't let these fruits come to their fruition.

Why do they do these interviews during match play? So stupid.

Shadab Smith abusing batting positions.. shouldn’t bat above 8 in any format!

Azam Khan comes out...

what's up with the jokes around the field among players... it gets ridiculous sometimes. Haris draging Shadab off the field after getting out? grow up guys and play the game. stop with the nonsense

Asif 'I hit sixes in my back garden' Ali is out on the field, can this be like his yard?

Asif Ali lol I must say he shouldn't represent pakistan ever again... not because he just got out but he been terrible wins a game after 10 games

the solution is to sit him out 9 games and play him in the 10th game and hopefully he comes off.

The worst player to play international cricket goes. This rubbish should never wear the Pakistan shirt again.

Shadab Khan

"From the crowd's point of view, I would like to say sorry to them because we had a full crowd and they wanted to see a thriller; They may be happy as Lahore won but I am sure they wanted to see a thrilling match."

Shaheen: Played very good cricket overall. Gave away too many runs yesterday. The plan was to focus on dot balls. Rashid and Sikandar bowled well. Great for a captain if your overseas and local players are both performing.

Wiese, Player of the Match: Just helped the bowlers a little bit more today than it did yesterday. For a batting unit that can consistently score 200, as a bowling side we just need to deliver the basics. Lahore is a team that has given me so much opportunity over the last two years.

Lahore Qalandars recorded their biggest win in terms of runs and the joint-second biggest in the history of HBL Pakistan Super League to go on top of the points table as they steamrolled Islamabad United by 110 runs on Monday night at the Gaddafi Stadium. This was their second comprehensive win in as many nights as a combined batting effort – in which Abdullah Shafique stood out with 24-ball 45 – helped them to 200 for seven before Islamabad United faltered to 90 all out with as many as 37 balls to spare.

The opening pair of Mirza Tahir Baig (20 off 17) and Fakhar Zaman (36 off 23) put 58 runs before Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan provided his side a much-needed breakthrough by bowling the former on a delivery which stayed low. The next over, Fakhar walked back, also bowled off Tom Curran, which brought Abdullah and Sam Billings (33 off 23) together in the middle.

The two put a breezy stand of 71 in 39 balls that set the platform for Lahore Qalandars to post another imposing score, after they had posted 241 – their highest ever total – yesterday and cameos from Sikandar Raza (23 not out off 10), David Wiese (12 off six) and Rashid Khan (18 off 12) propelled Lahore Qalandars to 200 that marked the eighth instance of an HBL PSL side breaching the 200-run mark. No side has scored 200 or more this often.

Islamabad United were clueless against the quality Lahore Qalandars bowling attack. Colin Munro (18 off 14) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (23 off 17) put 41 runs and when the latter was dismissed off Zaman Khan in the fourth over, it opened the floodgates.

Islamabad United lost five wickets for only 14 runs in one of the most epic collapses of this HBL PSL as they slipped from 54 for one to 68 for six and then lost three wickets at the score of 90. David Wiese took three wickets for 17, Sikandar and Rashid took two wickets each.

Scores in brief:

Lahore Qalandars 200-7, 20 overs (Abdullah Shafique 45, Fakhar Zaman 36, Sam Billings 33, Sikandar Raza 23 not out, Mirza Tahir Baig 20; Tom Curran 3-34, Shadab Khan 2-34)

Islamabad United 90 all out, 13.5 overs (Rahmanullah Gurbaz 23; David Wiese 3-17, Sikandar Raza 2-6, Rashid Khan 2-8)

Player of the match – David Wiese (Lahore Qalandars)

Bad day for data and match-ups!

Absolute thrashing for IU.

Too many hit and miss players at IU - who cannot be relied upon.
