What's new

Lahore Qalandars (219/6) convincingly defeat Quetta Gladiators (140) by 79 runs in match 4 of PSL X

So far zero impactful innings by any Pakistani players . Only oversee players are playing the match winning and 200+ strike rate knock. :kp

Malik always fails chasing, failed last season, failed in t20 cup, and yet QG selected him.

Malik Faheem Hassan , thats 3/11 dirt garbage , how can you win with 8 players consistently

Saud Shaqeel is a coward leader

He did this in the national T20 cup too.

He doesn’t like to back youngsters with the bat.
He is also in the same nexus as rizbar and shadab.
He doesn't want young players to progress.
In an ideal world he should be batting at 5 with hassan allen memdis and rossouw as top 4.

How come a cricketer like Shoaib Malik has had such a long career despite no legacy or no brand value

But the ownership selected these garbage i.e. Malik and Faheem....

Hassan can be given chances since he is young and has some potential.
But other 2 are outright rubbish.
I would even take Danish over Shoaib malik.

He wants to emulate footballers who played around for 2 x decades like Romario , Baggio , Totti etc. But he is tattie compared to them

So many one sided matches.

T20 is already boring cricket & when you have so many one sided matches, there's literally no point to even casually watch this.

Malik SR 93, whereas Rossouw & Billings rocketed at 200+ , disgusting

Nafay WasimJr. Should play the next game and make Hassan open with Saud mige drops to 3.

LQ did well to bolster their spin attack in Rashids abscence by including Asif Afridi and Rishad

Fakhar Zaman's blistering 67 and Sam Billings’ unbeaten 50 off just 19 balls, combined with disciplined bowling from the spinners, propelled Lahore Qalandars to a commanding 79-run victory over Quetta Gladiators in the fourth match of HBL PSL X at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday night.

Defending a mammoth 219-run total, Lahore's spin trio—Rishad Hossain (3/31), Sikandar Raza (2/12), and Asif Afridi (2/20)—combined for impressive figures of 7 for 63 in 7.2 overs to dismantle the Quetta batting lineup.

After Abrar Ahmed claimed the early wicket of Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar and Abdullah Shafique (37 off 21, 6 fours, 1 six) put together a 56-run stand. Fakhar, who hammered seven boundaries and three sixes in his 39-ball innings, then partnered with Daryl Mitchell (37 off 23) to add 80 runs from just 42 balls.

Billings entered in the 16th over and provided the finishing touches, smashing four fours and four sixes in a fiery half-century to take Qalandars past the 200-run mark for the 12th time in PSL history. Their total of 219 for 6 was also their third-highest in the league, following scores of 241-3 and 226-5 in the previous edition.

Quetta’s chase faltered early, slipping to 9 for 3 inside three overs as Shaheen Shah Afridi removed Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen, while Asif Afridi dismissed Hasan Nawaz.

Rilee Rossouw (44 off 19, 4 fours, 4 sixes) and Kusal Mendis (28 off 14) tried to spark a comeback with a rapid 45-run partnership in just 18 balls, but Haris Rauf ended Mendis’ stay in the sixth over.

From there, the spinners tightened the grip—Rishad Hossain got rid of Rossouw and later removed Mohammad Amir and Abrar Ahmed in the 13th over. Sikandar Raza struck twice in the 12th, sending back Shoaib Malik (14) and Akeal Hosein (13), before Asif Afridi returned to claim the final wicket of Faheem Ashraf (21) as Quetta were bowled out for 140 in 16.2 overs.

Congrats @Rana @mominsaigol on your team's victory

@Devadwal 's RR lost

It was a great day :kp
Yesterday's game always makes me wonder why Pakistan doesn't entrust Fakhar to open.

The stats argument only makes sense if you have 2 players of equal stature.

For example i can say it's better to drop fakhar or move him down to 3 or 4 due to poor t20 stats since we have David Warner and Travis Head as our openers.

But replace the words David Warner and Travis Head for Rizwan and Babar 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

It's the same Misbah vs Inzimam argument. Stats don't really matter if the gap on potential and talent is enormous.

Fakhar Zaman is by far Pakistan's best batsmen Younis Khan. Post YK's retirement name one batter who you can confidently proclaim is decent?

It's like if Labu started scoring 40 ball 50's In t20 whole Travis Head had a few bad series and CA decided to replace Travis with Labu in t20 based of stats 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Hilarious.

I like @Ahmed216 as a poster. I actually enjoy my discussions with him. He's a solid poster brother, disagreements and different takes are good at times.

My only issue is with stubborn posters like devad or heddie who don't really want to have a discussion and just wish to troll.

But nothing wrong with Ahmed. He's a solid and very knowledgeable poster. I enjoy my talks with him especially in regards to Aussie Test cricket like Nathan Mcsweeny technique or Steve Smith's batting.

When you losing a argument . Brigade ko bulao personal attacks karne 🤡🤡😂 :kp
When have I personally attacked a poster except you or people who are your virtual puppets?

You attacked me and got personal. No one asked you to spread lies about me such as Wannabee Aussie or attack me in CT for watching a game.

You brought it on yourself. Peace was offered but you decided to be a Kanjar.

As I said, no issues with @Ahmed216 he's a solid poster, and being a solid poster doesn't mean people have to agree with me 100%. It's better if they disagree and discuss politely.

However it doesn't mean that they personally attack like you do with your

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH OP IS CLUELESS HAHAHAHAAHAHAH.

Blame yourself.

King team win means I'm happy :kp
Is Kohli your all time favourite player? I've noticed you get extremely irritated when Kohli is brought up in a negative light. More so then Sachin even.

It's like admitting Steve Smith > Kohli in test gives you a virtual heart attack.

How have Rizwan, Babar, and their group managed to gain PR driven support and influence within the PCB, while someone like Fakhar Zaman despite his performances—lacks similar backing?

Misbah and Ramiz Raja connection

So graceful

his bowling action is also questionable

It’s not illegal if that’s his complete action, with the pause load up

He does this every ball. Hafeez added the pause in contrast to his normal action flow.

What’s the reason to suspect? I can’t see him straightening his arm

Quetta made a lasting impact in the 1st game. But they were off the color against lahore
