Kamran to Umar:

"Come on Yaar, for God sake"

Even his brother is sick of him :))

Rawalpindi Rams - 69/4 (10 Overs).

Naved Malik - 44 off 29.

Amad has been impressive in this tournament. For his physic and age, I think he has higher ceiling than Fahim, but he needs to be drafted under National set up as early as possible. From the figures of Bilal (may be one game, I have no clue regarding previous games), I see again the common pattern for PAK players - they are picked at least 2-3 years later than what should be ideal and often these players come with a high reputation (expectation), but picked to play when in decline.

MMHS umar on fire.i think he still the ebst we have in the ranks.

Poor captaincy from Umar Amin by giving Nawaz 4 overs. He got smashed for 45 runs.

Lahore 130 for 8 with 3 overs to go.

Hammad Azam bowling well with 3 wickets at the moment.

Hammad as well - hard done by Misbah era. Still guy has time and I am sure he'll do better than the 2 Buzurgs in PAK team for a WC in UK.

Saif Badar turning it around singlehandedly with the bat.

Stupid captaincy from Umar. Why bowl Hammad at the death when you have Sohail Tanvir with two overs?

And now needless overthrows from Hammad.

One issue is badly exposed where which I do believe a fact - in general, PAK players don't enjoy fielding and take it as an extra burden, hence almost always they falter under pressure. Something that you are not passionate about often betrays you in crisis. This guy Hammad is one of the better fielders and the blew this game with that one blunder.

Very surprising that Sohail Tanvir only bowled 2 overs.

Amateur captaincy from Umar Amin.

Lahore Whites/Lions over take Sialkot Stallions tally?

Saif Badar, the guy ignored by PSL owners, the hero. Yet again shows that the PSL ignores its best youngsters.

If anything positive is to be taken from this tournament, it has to be few individuals - Badar, Rizwan, Amad, Hammad & Gohar. May be Naveed Malik as well, but guy is too old now. Hope the revolutionary is watching and we'll see some changes in LO leg of SAF tour. Badar seems to be the perfect guy for No. 5-6 role - may not be in Josh Buttler mold, but even Mahmudullah mold will work to start with.

Probably the worst T20 tournament for both players and viewers. All aspects went downhill this year as not many new players were picked, and around 95% of those who played in Natl. T20 2017 were picked again.

PCB should hire other broadcasters if they want people to see their tournaments, PTV is a shameless organization will never improve. You feel transported back in the80s this is now horrible their telecasts are.

Coming to the final, all the parchis [Akmals Bros., Butt, Wahab etc..] were lined up with their daddy Inzamam watching them from afar who has for 2 years not picked a single new batsman who for opening slot apart from his nephew Imam, Kamran Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad.

Finally Kamran Akmal was not given freebies or bowled into his strengths.
You just need to remove pace from the bowl, project good length into the wickets and Kamran will fail to even take singles. Fielding was so pathetic by RawalPindi, the ground fielders were fumbling almost every bowl that reached them.

Was confused for whom Nawaz was playing for. He was part of Rawalpindi but did one of the worst spells I've ever seen from him that would lose the match for his team. He has one of the most neat line and lengths, normally does'nt bowl short of length or wide. His bowling was terrible and his fielding ever worse. He is regarded the best fielder in Pakistan team. I saw him fumble a bowl to give an easy boundary to Kamran Akmal. Even Wahab Riaz hit him for a six as he was bowling short and wide. Does'nt deserve to represent even a first class team.

The best team won & arguably best 2 teams made the finals. This actually again indicates that you need minimum acceptable number of games to filter out the best - individual or team either way. In North America, I have hardly seen in NBA, MLB or NHL the play off leaders (top seeds from regular season) miss out the Finals, because NBA & NHL are like 82 games/regular season, MBL 162!!!! There after which ever teams top the Conference Table are really the battle hardened best 2 teams of the season.

PAK Cup (List A) should be played double League basis, where 5 teams play 8 games each - only then the stats will be significantly meaningful & the tournament will bring some positives for PAK's progress upwards in ODI ranking table (Similarly FC games for Test table).

Watched quite a bit of the match and watched all of it from the over where Kamran Akmal got out. From that point on it looked like Rawalpindi were in cruise control really, Lahore were struggling badly to hit boundaries. Towards the end where Riaz, Gohar, Bilal Asif all got out it looked like game over as it looked like they couldn't hit a boundary if their life dependended on it. That over from Hammad Azam changed it though, good for Saif Badar who didn't look like he was going to do anything for a while uptil that point. Those overthrows that went for 4 off the final ball of that over added insult to injury for Azam, who was having a good match up to that point. Wanted Rawalpindi to win but it was a great match, and glad to see the crowd was decent too.

Saif Badar this season has been good finisher when chasing. For the time being, he should learn by batting at 6. Will eventually be our #4/5 after couple of good seasons.

Deserves to be picked for PSL4. Young middle order batsman with a power game, that's a rare in Pakistan.

Hopefully he gets picked. Feel a bit sorry for Hammad Azam though. Batted at 7 when he should have batted above Nawaz at 5. Let’s hope francises look at Azams performances as a whole- not that over to Badar in consideration.
