Hi Guys,

First post so I thought I would start off with a bat that CD hasn't got!! Well not yet anyway.

Generally with L&W you can choose your cleft and profile. On this occasion I did not. I let James choose and work his magic. What turned up is one of the nicest looking grainage I have seen on a bat. Even and dead straight. I do apologise on the quality of photographs as these are taken on my phone.

Weight is 2-11, edges around 35mm.

And now with his older brother

Looks marvellous mate, lovely looking stick! In fact, both look twin borthers from face :D

The profile is lovely too! But I think older has a bit better profile that whole bat looks like a sweetspot LOL :))

Did you get Carbo handle on new one as well?

2.11? Older is 2.9, isn't it?

Haha LOL :)) At the moment I don't have any plans of Signature, too expensive for me ;-)

Yep, thick oval carbocane handle on both. Older one weighs in at 2-10, 45mm edges, minimal concaving.

I do need to invest in a decent camera as these iPhones don't do the bats any justice.

Haha I agree iPhone is humiliating the Signature mate ;-)

Don't you feel a shock when playing with your carbocane?

I have it on my Legend and man it gave me worst shock ever!

Holy cow!?! Look at those grains!? They are fu*king amazing bud lovely look grains.

Do you think they justify the price tag they have? How did your first one play? Can you post profile pictures of that please?

Thank you very much.

Ha ha another one of these lovelies; amazing stuff mate. Might give CD's SC a run for its money.

Both brands have top products with different styles/shapes ... don't think would be justified to edge out any one of them above other one. Its same old debate: BMW or Mercedez ... Nikon or Cannon !

Yep-- at the end of the day we are dealing with great quality high end stuff; can't go wrong with any of these :)

Hi Silencer,

Not sure you can really justify any top of the range bats price as all grade 1 clefts are the same price. But, saying that they are stunning bats hand made by one of the best bat makers in the world.
The other one I used in about 6 games, goes very very well. Ball seems to fly off it. Very happy with the performance. I will do a little review in the other one in a new topic as I did the whole process of choosing a cleft and made to my wanted profile.

Cheers Mr. d7bow I will look forward in review of the other one.

Can you tell me if this new one is as good as old one?

Secondly, isn't cleft of this Signature and Private Bins we see same?

I'll try and post the other signature this evening

Haven't mallet tested or touched the new bat yet. Got it out of the box last night when the mrs went to bed, hence the late night pics.

Signature clefts are meant to be the clefts that the bat maker cannot part with. They are meant to be the best performing clefts and the best looking clefts they have. They have/sell 3-4 a year, maybe more.

Top top bat this is!

Indeed Signature clefts are very very special, they are even better than Gray Nicolls Legend to be honest.

I agree with the stats, till date James has sold near 80ish I believe can't remember precise figure though this is just a guess really.

Just had a tap up with the old mallet and this is more impressive than the other one. Doesn't have as much coverage as the other one but boy does it ping. I've also been informed there must be an issue with my scales and this should be 2-8/9.

If its 2.8/9 then I must say it looks quite big.

I like the shape, it would be amazing for front foot players and low bounce pitches.

Shape wise it looks a bit GN Legendish to me, Legend spine starts from the shoulder but the bottom swell etc is very similar.

Hi Silencer,

Only mallet tested this one so far. Probably wont see any action for a while and be saved. I have a laver ultra and a another bat to try out first.
