"I have been saying this from before that Pakistan will win if they can restrict opposition to 250 or below; anything above that is not possible for this lineup to get"

"I think the prayers of the Pakistani nation seem to have been accepted in the way Sarfraz's catches were dropped"

"We have reached the semi-finals of any tournament after a long time and we should enjoy this time"

"Amir played well because he restrained himself in that game"

"What Amir and Sarfraz showed the rest of the line up was how to get a target when the required run rate is below 4"

"I would like to warn the Pakistan bowlers to be careful as if ball starts reversing after 15 overs then there is a possibility that some people may try and make an issue of this"

" We should let the ball scruff up naturally otherwise this could not be good for us"

"You cannot go with a defensive strategy against England"

"In that sense, we should think of resting Imad Wasim and play Shadab for the England game"

"We need a bowler with variety to restrain batsmen from playing shots with freedom and that also increases chance of taking wickets"

"If you dont want to drop Hafeez then make him open in the next game"

"If an early wicket falls, then send in Azhar Ali and if not then send another batsmen in - make the batting order floating"

"Having a left-right combination is so important as we saw how Malinga was bowling so well but once we had that combo there, the opposition was out of sorts"

"Lets also think of giving a chance to Haris Sohail in this crucial game"

"A player like him who will want to prove himself in big match situation"

"I would suggest resting a middle order batsman and bringing in a left-hander to surprise the opposition"

Interesting views from Aamir Sohail, will we see any changes to the XI tomorrow?

Yes he seemed pretty mad today saying "Hum ne Malik aur Hafeez ka theka liya his hai?" over and over. :)

He was the one always with a good cricketing brain. You can see that from the comments given. I agree, we should have an attacking approach, introduce Haris in the middle order, and remove Imad for Shadab, as the leggie is an attacking option.

Some brilliant stuff and also interesting business about reverse swing

Agree with him, should definitely try Haris Sohail. One of the finest players of pace bowling in Pakistan and a good rotator of strike too, will be very handy in the middle order. Also he can't do worse than our 'great' Azhar Ali.

It was Sohail that introduced 'The blessed one' all those years ago. If you think he is struggling now, he was a bonafide tailender those days. So, whatever he says on the subject I will take with a pinch of salt.

Aamer Sohail has always had a soft spot for Hafeez. He probably sees (or saw) him as a potential successor. However, he was a player of limited ability but plenty of guts; Hafeez is a player of limited ability and zero guts.

But Sohail is not selector who keep selecting him again and again. When sohail selected him he performed with the ball. If Hafeez is in the team right now please do not blame sohail.

He definitely for some odd reason had a soft spot for him and it was hilarious listening to him on commentary, as a chief selector, blaming Miandad (coach) for his shortcomings.

When Sohail selected him he was THE opener who was batting like a number 11. He clearly wasn't international standard then and whilst he did improve after a few years I believe we invested in the wrong group of players from that generation and it seems no one has the balls to make a call on them.
