Rotherham's favourite son and one of Nawaz's London besties is back in the news.
An upcoming episode of BBC Newsnight will show Lord Nazir Ahmed of the House of Lords has been accused of exploiting his position to pursue sex with vulnerable women who asked him for help, Newsnight reveals.
This is the same guy who was jailed for dangerous driving. In the 2007 accident Ahmed hit and killed a man while behind the Wheel of his Jaguar and admitted to be texting while driving. He later blamed the jail term on a Jewish conspiracy and was then kicked out of the Labour party. After this he has been blamed for discreetly supporting the Tories during regional elections (Baroness Warsi).
His other achievements include:
- Backing Nestle during the baby milk poisoning scandal in Pakistan, after negotiating a paid advisory role with the company.
- Offering a bounty for Bush and Blair
- Claiming Malala Yousafzai bus attack was a conspiracy to discredit the Taliban etc... etc
In the most recent case, one woman said Lord Nazir Ahmed of Rotherham "took advantage" and began a sexual relationship with her after she approached him for assistance. Her case has raised questions about the adequacy of the House of Lords Code of Conduct. Lord Ahmed, 61, denies acting inappropriately.
In a second case, a woman who wishes to remain anonymous told Newsnight she had also asked Lord Ahmed for help and claims he suggested she should spend the night at his London home.
