There is a common talk among many circles now that constant below par performanxss in ICC tournaments by Pakistan is really causing the young generation in Pakistan to be disillusioned with cricket.

I have many friends who are ardent Pakistan cricket supporters for the longest time but they say their kids and younger ones don't take much interest in cricket as they believe its a lost cause. I myself find it very difficult to explain my 7 year old about cricket because he just wont know who to idolize or see a role model from Pakistan.

What do you guys think is cricket really on a downward decline now where we can see Pakistan population becoming commercially disinterested in the game in the near future?

Pakistani players from previous generations seemed quite passionate. Fans were passionate too. I am referring to players like Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, Abdul Razzaq, Ahmed Shehzad, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Yousuf, Younis Khan etc. It was fun to watch them play.

Current bunch are a bit on the boring side. Only Fakhar and Saim are exciting. Even then, they are not as exciting as players from Shahid Afridi days.

Lol no its not.
