Luke Wood, a left-arm fast bowler with the priceless ability to swing the ball back into right-handers, joined Lancashire at the end of the 2019 season in search of a more regular first-team place after spending time in and out of the Nottinghamshire side.

Wood won a T20 Blast medal two years in succession for two different counties, first for Nottinghamshire in a treble-winning year in 2017, and then when on loan with Worcestershire the following summer.

Currently, He is playing PSL 9 for Peshawar Zalmi and has been a good addition to their squad so far.

Luke Wood comes handy for PZ tonight against the QG. He ended his spell with a splendid figure of 2/21 in 3 overs.

He almost set up the game for Zalmi but hard luck he couldn’t end up on the winning side.

Luke Wood strikes early for Peshawar Zalmi as he dismissed Asif Ali and Daryl Mitchell for his side in the clash against Lahore Qalandars in PSL X

Luke Wood’s Message for Fans and Emerging Players

I'm grateful to be back here in Pakistan with Zalmi again and I've really enjoyed it. About last year, I really enjoyed the culture and the team dynamic. It's been the same again this year.

Every time I step on the field, I'll do my best and try to contribute towards the team. I think you can hopefully see that with my sort of passion on the field and desire to win.

Pitches are hard for bowlers sometimes but I really enjoy cricket. It's very competitive, young players are obviously showing that in the whole emerging category.

He (Ali Raza) is good. I have seen him in U19; he showed he can handle on the big stage. He gets the ball in crucial times and delivers. It's been a great learning curve for him so far.
I love the Zalmi fans. They have been very kind to me. It's a great time, a great franchise, and more importantly, a great family. I'll urge the Zalmi fans not to get too disciplined. Just stick with us."
