Its sufficient for Tests. I reckon it would have been more had this been a ODI/T20.
As much as I love test cricket, people like us need to admit, that economics will dictate the sport. The demand for Tests is simply not there in most countries. Only in England, Australia, India and SA can test cricket survive (not using the word thrive!).

Well, you usually get around that amount as MOTM in most matches. 1000 USD to be precise.
