Its happening again, seeing Persie move to Manu wasn't enough for Arsenal fans.

Mkhitaryan is rumored to be part of the deal.

Deal to be completed in the next 48 hours.

I did say some days back that Sanchez will probably end up at Man Utd. Don't see Mk going the opposite direction. Man City seem to be waiting for the summer to sign Sanchez on a free. Man Utd could offer £30 million and get him right away.

He would be a good signing for United as he creates and scores. Lakaku isnt playing too well and Rashford, Martial and Lingard are decent but wont score 25-30 goals a season.

After todays defeat Man City make put in a bid too.

Just heard on the radio that Sanchez still prefers a move to City. Tbh, City don’t even need him.

Sanchez just wants to be the highest paid player in the EPL. Man City have rightly pulled out the race to sign him for this reason. This means only Man Utd are probably interested in signing him now.

Alexis Sanchez agrees four-and-a-half-year Man Utd contract as Arsenal wait on Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Alexis Sanchez has agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract worth £14million after tax to join Manchester United.

And Sanchez is now just waiting to find out if Henrikh Mkhitaryan will agree a switch in the other direction to Arsenal, which would trigger his move to Old Trafford.

Sanchez’s lucrative contract means United’s deal to sign the forward is worth over £60m once his £30m value, agents’ fee, worth more than £10m, and signing on fee are taken into consideration.

Manchester City were not prepared to pay so much for a player who only has six months remaining on his contract.

Similarly, despite Antonio Conte admitting his admiration of the Chilean, Chelsea, who went close to signing Sanchez last summer, would not match the figures on offer at Old Trafford.

Sanchez is now hoping Mkhitaryan will quickly reach an agreement with Arsenal, although the Armenian wants to become the highest earner at the Emirates.

Having already sanctioned the £20m sale of Theo Walcott to Everton, Arsenal are closing in on a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who wants to leave Borussia Dortmund.

Aubameyang is believed to have a verbal agreement to join Arsenal and the Gunners now need to agree a deal with Dortmund, who would ideally like to take Olivier Giroud in the other direction.

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is another potential target for Dortmund, although the Belgian is keen on a loan move to Sevilla.

Arsenal’s interest in Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan has been driven by recently-appointed head of recruitment Sven Mislintat, who helped to sign the pair for Dortmund.

But the Gunners’ transfer policy has been criticised by former striker Ian Wright, who said: “Everything that is happening is being forced on them through other people.

“Mkhitaryan is not a player Arsenal have been after - he's a player that Arsenal have been handed.

“It's the same with Aubameyang - a couple of years ago, he was on everyone's radar but now he's gone a bit cold. Then all of a sudden, he's on Arsenal's radar - it all feels panicky for me.

“Of course they are both quality players. But if you are losing Sanchez, you need players that will hit the ground running. I'm not sure about Mkhitaryan's state of mind right now.”

Mkhitaryan has all the power in this deal and it looks like he doesn't want to go to Arsenal, so a couple of other clubs could swoop in and sign him, unless Sanchez wants to sign a pre-contract and rot at Arsenal for a while.

450K/week in a 4 years contract for a 29 years old winger - God must be crazy.

JoMou is getting sacked for sure .......

The way the rules work for free transfers Sanchez is only allowed to sign a pre-contract just now with non English clubs, has to wait until the summer before he can sign a contract for an English team.

Alexis Sanchez: Arsenal forward likely to join Man Utd - Arsene Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says it is "likely" forward Alexis Sanchez will join Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Sanchez, 29, is out of contract in June and is thought to have agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club.

"I worked on transfers for 30 years so it is likely to happen, but at any moment it can break down," said Wenger.

Wenger also said it was a "possibility" United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be a part of the deal.

"I like the player," added Wenger. "We played many times against him when he was at Dortmund. He appreciated the quality of our games. The wages would not be a problem."

Armenia international Mkhitaryan, 28, has not agreed terms on a move but was left out of the league win over Stoke on Monday, with manager Jose Mourinho confirming the decision was not tactical.

Forgot about that rule, you're right I think he might just leave now either way because United might lose interest by the time the summer comes round if the deal falls apart now. Problem is, if United's deal falls apart then he'd have to lower his wage demands to leave.

To be honest I want Aubameyang more than I want Mkhitaryan but I want them both. Imagine Ozil and Jack behind them.

If Arsenal get Mikhtarayan - it will not be a bad deal for them.

We will end up with Auba and Miki for a combined 310k a week . I'm happy with that. We also get the trouble maker out of the club.

It's absolute steal for Kroenke - he'll increase Wenger's bonus. That's why I wrote that Jose is going to get P45. He is extremely egoistic and self-centered, which doesn't allow him to stay in one club for long (by 3rd year, his relation with his star players start to go downward). I think, eventually, MU's long term Manager will be Giggs - he'll be in charge of Wales for 3/4 years for his baptism in Management. Mou might leave by this Dec or Jan, if results doesn't start to improve - MU manager can't just win ugly games, he has to win it and win it in style. Mou is trying to do that by bringing marque players, but I am not sure if he is capable of playing free flowing attacking game; he already had enough creative players at MU to do that.

They are going to extend Mou contract apparently:)).

Sanchez, the Chile star, signed for the Red Devils on Monday evening with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading to Arsenal in exchange.

However, on the day Sanchez was at Old Trafford to finalise his transfer, UEFA officials appeared at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground for a routine drug test - and Sanchez was one of the players chosen to give blood.

Obviously he was not present, and Arsenal are in trouble as they failed to inform UEFA Sanchez would not be on-site as is usual procedure for when a player will not be able to give blood.

Spain’s Sport report the claims, saying that the officials reported Sanchez’s absence to UEFA, and now both the Gunners, and Manchester United, must ‘present themselves’ to the governing body to explain why Sanchez missed the drug test.

Alexis Sanchez: Arsenal 'nothing to hide' on reported missed drugs test - Arsene Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the club have "nothing to hide" after former player Alexis Sanchez reportedly missed a drugs test on Monday.

The Chilean, 29, allegedly missed the test on the same day his transfer to Manchester United was completed.

"I think it is a special event for him to miss a drugs test because he was somewhere else," said Wenger.

The Frenchman added the club had not been contacted by the Football Association or UK Anti-Doping.

Sanchez joined the Gunners from Barcelona in 2014, but left for Old Trafford in a swap deal which saw Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan move the other way earlier this week.

After initial reports in Spain, several British newspapers reported on Thursday that Sanchez had been caught out by the FA's "whereabouts" rule regarding drugs tests.

Sanchez and Mkhitaryan were both pictured at the immigration office in Liverpool to secure work permits before their moves.

Ex-Barcelona player Sanchez has been included in United's squad for their FA Cup fourth round tie at Yeovil on Friday, which is live on the BBC.

Wenger said: "On Monday there was a lot going on, it is a special day for Alexis Sanchez - you have to do paperwork and travel. Was he still our player on Monday or not? You don't know.

"It is just a bad day for him to be tested. Honestly, on the administration side it would still be our responsibility because he had not moved. I don't know what really happened.

"I am quite relaxed because we have nothing to hide here, we always try our best to cooperate with doping control.

"The intention of Alexis was not to hide and we have nothing to hide."
