Not the first time i have seen Pakistani bowlers wilt under pressure from assault by elite T-20 batsmen. We saw it against England in 2022 many times and now New Zealand.

This series has shown that Pak's loss against Afghanistan wasn't an accident. Pak is really behind in world cricket.

You are missing the point.

Pakistan lost the game due to poor batting, not poor bowling. This was a 210-220 pitch.

Average score on this wicket has been 210 of late, what do you expect? It was the batsmen who should have played better and not thinking about eachothers personal milestones.

Chapman played a blinder, doubt he will do it again.

Pakistan has only one genuine world class fast bowler (Shaheen) but he is nowhere his best right now. Naseem and Rauf are average bowlers - not half as good as they or their fans think.

Shadab is glorified part-timer and Imad is only useful if he opens the bowling in T20s. That is his forte.

Overall, it is a nothing attack. Extremely overhyped.

Shaheen the only world class but he too have no clue in death overs. He has proven that time and again.

Death bowling is very difficult in this era because of two new balls. Very pacers have mastered the art of bowling well at the death in this era.

Shaheen makes up for it by being one of the best ever when it comes to the new ball. Overall, he is the least of Pakistan's problems.

Pakistani pacers lack defensive skills. In T-20 and even ODI Cricket, sometimes the batsmen are on a roll and you have to find a way to create pressure by being economical and force the batsman to take a risk. Pakistani bowlers lack this big time and cannot strategize dismissals with bowling tactics and field placements.

121 runs from 57 balls and no wickets. Pakistan dropped the intensity after dominating 75% of the match

The thought process was very paindu today.
Ihsan should just bowl fast hard lengths until he masters the yorker. No need to become something he isn’t.
Babar didnt help him by bringing him so laye and holding back his overs.

More than the pacers, why was team managment not able to come up with a plan to counter chapman. Seems like bowlers were told to run and pitch it anywhere on the pitch.

The constant chopping and changing in management is a real issue. We have all the ingredients in our bowling attack but too many cooks spoil the soup.

We had them 73/4 in 9.5, the game should have been seen out from there regardless of what happened in the first innings

Lulz.

This posters modulus operandi is blaming everything on the fast bowlers. Every single time.

He would blame them for global warming too if he could.

They won't win you every game. They have won us plenty and that's good enough. Today we were 20-30 runs short.
Shadab dropped a dolly off Shaheen and that was a moment when the game could have been saved. Maybe the fielders should support the bowlers efforts.

This was a full strength Pakistan bowling attack against a very depleted NZ time. You need to process that

14 very disappointing results in terms of losses and draws. 8 series wins against minnows and lowly ranked teams. Only one significant win as captain i.e. against South Africa at home in 2021 (2-0). 4 wins against second and third string top teams.

The data is in front of everyone. So much for the bowlers and Babar have won us enough.

Agree, but usually a bowler gets experienced enough after playing for 5-6 years about how to bowl in death overs. Everyone gets spanked in this era but they also makes comeback with their skills sometimes. But once shaheen started leaking those boundaries in his second spell there is no comeback from him. With new ball there is no doubt that he is one of the best in business.

Not just the pacers but the entire bowling attack is responsible for this 2-2 result.

Apart from Chapman, none of the other NZ bats were anywhere near as good as Rizwan, Babar, Ifthikar trio. PAK batting unit was definitely better than NZ's.

NZ bowling unit was, however, superior. The seamers - Henry, Milne, Neesham and even Tickner in his only match proved to be superior to PAK quicks .

But the real difference for me has always been Shadab. I've said this World T20 2021. Other seam attacks can often be ss impactful as PAK's high pace attack but Shadab at his best is the difference maker. No spinner can match him at his best.

This series though Shadab was one of the worst bowlers. Sodhi and Rachin were superior at various times. His control and threat were missing and PAK looked clueless.

T20Is use only 1 ball. Same as it has always been.

Yes of course because why would you use two new balls for a 20 over game. The point is that the ball is still relatively new after 20 overs so it is difficult to bowl at the death.

Death bowling has always been hard in T20s and it has become much harder in ODIs over the last 10 years.

Pakistan lost the match in the bowling department, especially considering its thier strength.

Lol what strength? What have our bowlers won us exactly? You need to check our overall series win-losses over the last decade. We have lost every meaningful series against big teams and apart from the 2017 CT, we don't have any major tournament win either. Pakistan is a seriously over rated, over hyped team.

I think we were 20 runs short too which didn't help.

But Pakistan definitely had an off day with the ball. Chapman was able to take full advantage.

Am not talking about what has the bowlers won us am talking about which department is Pakistan strength.

Current Pakistani bowling is like a big bad bully who terrorizes in the beginning. But if the victim fights back, they don't know what to do. They are still one the best bowling attacks going around with Shaheen, Rauf and now Ishsan. That's a deadly one if they get their lines right.

Mark Chapman races to a 29-ball fifty, his 9th of the format and 4th against Pakistan.

Boy doing his job once again

New Zealand missed the trick and should've played him in the CT final. Aside from his batting, he's a very handy spin option too

He is trash
He is nothing special
He would have been exposed vs India

Still would've been a better pick than Nathan Smith for the conditions. I believe he was picked in the squad of 15 so he's not as bad as you think

I think he has some personal issues with Pakistani bowlers... he again smashed the century in the first ODI where he is playing at 100* off 94 deliveries

Chapman did his usual stuff against Pakistan. Ghost batter for Pakistan most of the times.... Great hitting,
