The second match of the day in Rawalpindi between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators could be delayed due to rain and wet outfield.

The covers are currently in place at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

The first match was washed out between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi as well.

Any update?

Put yourself in a spectator/ticket holder's shoes.

Would you like to sit on dripping wet seats and watch a game for 3 hours?
If it's reasonable enough to sit. Plus the game will be cut short and if I'm in the stadium. I'd rather have this game happened and watch this than just go home.

Any more washouts expected at this horrendous venue?

The opening day of the Pindi-leg of HBL PSL 9 has been washed out after the Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators fixture, the 18th match of the tournament, was called off as well followed by the abandonment of the Lahore Qalandars vs Peshawar Zalmi game, at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The two teams, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United, placed in second and fourth spot on the points table respectively, bagged one point each after the second game of the double-header was called off an hour before the scheduled start of play due to rain.

Karachi Kings will face table-toppers Multan Sultans tomorrow at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi while the HBL PSL 9 action will return to Rawalpindi on March 4 as home team Islamabad United taking on Peshawar Zalmi.

No offence, but the look and feel of the ground doesn't inspire much confidence. Any idea what the drainage facilities are like?

PCB would have known about the weather forecast in Rawalpindi for atleast a week. Why not host the games in Lahore or Multan where we had been seeing full crowds?

What a horrible looking tiny stadium. How can this be a stadium of the main sport of a country of 250 million? Looks the same as it did in the 80s :ROFLMAO:

Not a fan of scheduling both matches of the day at the same venue.
