Shaheens should play Abdul Faseeh instead of that mediocre guy Haseebullah who has been a failure till now. Not sure why he has to play every game.

Pakistan Shaheens vs Melbourne Stars

Melbourne Stars 175-4, 20 overs (Liam Blackford 55, Ashley Chandrasinghe 47, Arjun Nair 36 not out; Jahandad Khan 2-33, Arif Yaqoob 1-24)

It is going to be a tough chase for Shaheens.

This guy, arjun nair, has an action almost 100% similar to Sunil Narine.

Farhan threw his wicket away here. He should have played with a bit more responsibility. Gone for 26 off 13 balls.

Shaheens are 30/1 after 4

HaseebUllah is useless in t20s. His strike rate is 20 atm.. 3 runs on 15 balls so far.

Melbourne Stars beat Pakistan Shaheens by 47 runs

Pakistan collapsed 91/9 while chasing 176 in 20 overs

Only Tayab Tahir stood and scored 57* of 43 balls and took Pakistan 128/9 after 20 overs.

Another slap in the face.
Seriously pathetic once again.

Like you only play one sport and even then you cant even compete vs a bunch of nobodies. I mean against who are they playing.

When you play mediocre Haseebullah and oldies like Umar Amin in shaheens squad, they are bound to loose from any club level team.

Tayyab Tahir’s fifty in vain as Melbourne Stars beat Pakistan Shaheens in Top End T20 series

Darwin, 11 August 2024:

Pakistan Shaheens fell 47 runs short against Melbourne Stars in their second match of the Top End T20 series on Sunday at the Gardens Oval in Darwin.

Tayyab Tahir’s unbeaten half-century (57 not out, 43b, 6x4s, 1x6) went in vain as Shaheens finished with 128-9 in 20 overs in pursuit of the 176-run target. Opening batter Sahibzada Farhan scored 26 off 13 balls clubbing two fours and two sixes.

Following Haseebullah’s (11, 20b, 1x6) departure in the seventh over with the scorecard reading 44-2, the Shaheens batting line-up collapsed as they lost seven wickets for just 47 runs. Tayyab and Arif Yaqoob added an undefeated 37-run partnership for the last wicket.

Earlier, Melbourne Stars, after opting to bat first, got off to a strong start as the opening pair of Liam Blackford and Ashley Chandrasinghe stitched a 91-run partnership off 74 balls. Blackford hit seven fours for his 43-ball 55 while his partner, Chandrasinghe, contributed 47 off 42 balls which involved four boundaries and two sixes.

Leg-spinner Arif Yaqoob drew the first blood for Shaheens as he dismissed Blackford. Three overs later, Dylan Brasher (10, 9b, 1x4) was sent packing by Jahandad Khan, bringing an end to a 27-run second-wicket partnership.

Sam Elliot (17 not out, 8b, 3x4s) and Arjun Nair (36 not out, 15b, 3x4s, 3x6s) added a quick-fire 55-run partnership off just 23 balls for the fifth wicket that lifted the Stars to 175-4 in the allotted 20 overs.

For Shaheens, Jahandad bagged two wickets while Arif dismissed one batter.

Pakistan Shaheens will play their next match against Tasmania at the DXC Arena, Darwin on 13 August.

So Pakistan T20I B team loses against some Melbourne youngsters?
Yep, they did. carrying a deadweight HaseebUllah in the team who is good for nothing. Other batters collapsed as usual.

A typical Pakistan collapse you can call it.

HaseebUllah has no performance to back his selection. Look at Shaheens red ball games, one-day games. He has been a failure.

Haris is also not doing wonders but Haseeb is on next level.

I have heard of Hilton Cartwright Joel Paris and Scott Boland from that side. They all played a few int games for Aus ( Boland is current).

Still Pakistan should be smashing them.

And this is the reason why Babar Riz and Shaheen are still in the team , next batch is far worse then current batch.
