Mention one cricketer from any team that you wished had played for your country

Bowler : Mcgrath. I think his success would have spurred on a generation of bowlers to bowl with control and discipline instead of all out pace being the only solution.

Batter : Tendulkar. We could have dropped him and put a quick end to his criminal ways and stat padding.

It would have to be someone explosive, Like hitman or viv Richards or sehwag or Jaysuria.

People don't understand that Someone like Kohli is useless when your entire no 3 to no 7 is a mess in t20 and the situation in ODI ain't much better.

Kohli is an atg however he's always batted around competent batters.

You think Shadab Khan or chacha are remotely capable of doing a pat Cummings, Pandya level backing while people like maxwell or Kohli do their thing?

This is why the only batter in pakistan who's international standard when on song is fakhar who can single handidely win you games.

Find someone like pat Cummings even who while a tail ender is mature and responsible and ill gladly take kohli, Otherwise it'll have to be someone explosive. Pakistani batters do not know how to back someone at all. A common trend started by Misbah

Shoaib Akhtar

We have had all the great batsmen and a never ending supply of great spinners.

In pace department also we have had world class pawing bowling pacers and medium pacers. Now we have Bumrah and Shami who are both GOAT contenders.

There is only one thing for which i have always been envious of Pakistan and it’s the fact that they had the worlds fastest bowler in their team for a long time. We had Atul bhai who was faster than Shoaib but because of injuries he could not play international cricket. Then we had Umran Malik whom we didn’t back.

We have 4-5 155 kph level bowlers.

But we would have loved to have 160 kph Shoaib Akhtar.

Brian Lara or Wasim Akram.

I think Lara severely underachieved in ODIs. In 90s Indian team he would have given them more value and we would have seen an SRT-Lara opening combo while Ganguly would have remained captain of West Bengal.

Wasim ofcourse the ultimate dream cricketer. Probably would have gotten a long captaincy stint as well. Only worry would be that he might have easily gotten even more deeply involved with fixing with backing of ppl like Azhar.

Glen McGrath, greatest pacer I have witnessed along with Bumrah. With Shami to follow, this would be a dream attack.

Look at how Kohli carried India in 2014 and 2016 t20 world cup despite being the only performer.
If you take a look at Dhawan, Rohit and Dhoni's performance in those world t20s you will find that our team entirely relied on kohli, he is exactly the kind of batsman you need when your whole batting lineup is a mess, you could not be more wrong.

Brett Lee.. i always wanted to see Shoaib Akhtar and Brett lee bowling together for the same team... just imagine the destruction!

Mcgrath.thats it.
Give me this Man.
That's all I need.

Just remember though mcgrath in his prime was not slow. He was 135 to 142 pace with steep bounce and unerring accuracy.

Mcgrath + Steyn + Anderson in test cricket. Brothers of destruction.

There are better bowlers than him, he is probably not amongst top 10 bowlers of all tome.
He confortably not among the top 10. You don't get to top by doing well at home and being ordinary in shorter formats in multiple formats era.

Look at away average of bowlers in the last 50 years with 100 plus wickets. Then we have likes of IK, Cummins etc as well.
All these bowlers are much better than Anderson in limited overs as well. Anderson is pacer and yet his Away SR is less than spinners such as Lyon, Ashwin etc.

Anderson can enter into conversation only and only if matches are going to be played in Eng and also only in the test format.

Being very good bowler and contention for the top 10 is vastly different.

LOL. What?

Anderson has 260+ ODI wickets and 700+ Test wickets.
His away average isn't good enough. Sorry.

Not for me. Many in the cricket fraternity would agree too.

From current era itself bumrah Cummins rabada are all better. Then past era would have steyn, mcgrath, Marshall, Garner, donald etc

Where is Anderson? Sorry clouderson? Should we order clouds to hover around in overseas conditions so he can get more wickets?

I can't see him in that list.

Kohli
Bumrah
Rohit Sharma
Starc
Cummins
Adam Gilchrist
Steyn

In past i really wanted Kevin Pietersen to play for India. Now I want Cameron Green to play for in India in tests 👍🏻

Look at Bumrah's numbers 😍

For India , it has to be best fast bowler or best bowling AR.
My first choice would be Marshall , second choice would be Imran.

Absolutely nobody. Because India has been fortunate enough to have had some truly legendary Cricketers who excelled at their craft - bowling, batting, fielding and keeping

There is a reason why we have multiple World cups and multiple series Wins in Australia, A home test record to die for and ofcourse that WC record against our arch enemy.

And ofcourse off the field we practically Own cricket. We are the big cheese. Never thought I would live to see this day ... total and complete satisfaction as a fan.

Odi too. He was clutch in his prime. Remember 2015
well honestly speaking he never excites me as an ODI player.

I know he was at his peak in 2015 but he maintained his supremacy in ODIs for only a very short period of time.
