I quite like Faheem, although he hasn't had a good match here. He's a relatively quick bowler, and can generate some bounce, and he can whack a few big sixes on his day. Obviously not had a good day today, but I still think he's got enough to justify a place in the side. He did comparatively well as a bowler when he was brought back into the test side.
He can be Lance Klusener - since Klusener is probably 55 now.
Faheem needs to put in the hard work into his craft. Or he will just drift away. He seemed to be the answer, but Pakistan's promising youngsters turn answers into questions very fast - something to do with team culture I think.
Yup, he did not open that much, he just batted 10 times in positions 1-2 in his career of 171 games. Neil Johnson was a phenomenal player, Can't believe the quality of Zimbabwe team in the 90's. Streak, Johnson, Goodwin, Flower G, A Flower, Craig Wishart, Alistair Campbell, Whittal, Ray Price, SV Carlisle, Paul Strang etc... They will give lots of current international sides tough competition now.

After 18 games, Lance had a career batting average of 32 & bowling average of 27. After, 18 games Fahim has a batting average of 12, and bowling average of 28 ..... therefore, the comparison isn't that out of context, considering that Fahim has time in his hand. Mickey has seen both, so obviously he is the best person to judge each one's caliber, potential.
P.S.: With a little filter, I found in those 18 games, Fahim has played 10 games against IND, SAF & NZ - his batting is remarkably consistent with an average of 12; but needs a bit improvement in bowling - it stands at 62.
At the same time, in his first 10 games against any team among top 8, Kluesner had a batting average of 25 and bowling average of 24. So, roughly Fahim needs to improve around 5 times (batting has to improve twice, bowling around 2.5 times - product is ~5) to fulfill Mickey's prediction.
