"There are no shortcuts to Success"

I wonder whether Franz Kafka had anything to do with Pakistan Cricket.

Oh Boy !! If Black humor has a new name it will certainly be Pakistan
cricket. It's a never ending Nightmarish cycle of Karma and whenever
you feel that one of the dreaded circle has come to full, another
Kafkaesque Circle start and you are never out of it.

Marble manufacturer must have gone on strike when Pakistan Team
was announced against a second string Lankan Team. Has been
like Shehzad and Umar akmal were outrageously recalled as Misbah
announced start of a new and glorious nightmare for numbed Pak
fans and supporters.

We all thought that humiliating defeat against a weak Lankan Team
would Fire Misbah to be more circumspect and less defensive but it
seems the case of "old habit dying hard" with the Gentlemen

I am very curious as to which Misbah Selected Young Pace Sensation
Nasim and which one dragged a shell shocked 37 year old Irfan to
Australia. How can the both be the same person??

T20, is one format cut out for youngsters and likes of Wahab and Irfan
can not keep young Pakistani pacers out of this format, surely not when
Next T20 world cup is an year away and in Australia.

It Does seems that Misbah is bit too carried away with the short term
goals that he might have lost sight of the long term damages such
decision are having on the young pacers, Can't Imagine being a Musa
or Poor Hasnain who are warming benches and watching from sideline
a 37 year old lumbering to 130K

PCB must learn there lesson and stop giving too much power to any
one individuals especially when it comes to Selection they better have
a 3 member committee so that all voices are heard. no other Country
has suffered in the hands of selectors as much has Pakistan Suffered

Fakhar, was always going to be found out for his technical limitations
and his loss of form has really hit Pakistan hard. It really took
many agonizing years before Pakistan found an Aggressive and stable
opener in Fakhar. he has also allowed Imam to take his time and play
his natural game without getting too worried about RR.

Pakistan Will need a fiery and reliable partner for Babar and they must
Invest in it. Likes of Imam, harris, Rizwan in this format will create a
huge Imbalance. Harris is Pakistan Second best batsmen and those
two ugly leg side swipes shows what a wrong format can do to a world
class player.

Harry does have bit of a weakness when bowled on the body but he has
to bit more imaginative than that. He will be required in Australia as he
can provide the stability at the top but he will need to be clear about his
shot selection

Iftikhar Innings today was one of the biggest Positives in recent times.
He plays proper cricketing shots and has that power down the order
Which Pakistan so desperately needed. Asif experiment has failed and
Pakistan must move on to next.

Babar as a batsmen doesn't need any mention but as a captain he has
miles to go it will be interesting to see how will he evolve as skipper of
this volatile bunch.

finally, I noticed it in the world cup as well that Amir Doesn't Keep a
Mid off while bowling in death. I noticed that even today while bowling
a perfect off stump line he didn't have the protection in Mid off and
costed Pakistan 3 boundaries while Amir was bowling a perfect length
and line.

Ya, its just the way Pakistan cricket is and I will never die wondering

We will only know how bad or good things are once we give him some time. Its a tough one and we will need to lump it for now. Its quite possible that we will succeed in the long term.

the problem is we always start from zero once new management comes , a few tried and tested failures will keep getting chances and a year will pass. The oldies are given way too many chances to deliver whereas the youngsters these days just carry the drinks.

Misbah is an extremely conservative leader.

Even when he was captain, he used to take full-strength squad to Zimbabwe and never change the playing x1 in favour of bench players even when the series was won. He overbowled Ajmal in tests when fast bowlers should have been employed for short bursts.

Won't expect much innovation or bold decisions from him. Playing the same 3 "senior" pacers and sending accumulators up the order twice in a row was way too conservative.

coach that doesnt take risks doesnt succeed. simple as that.

misbah is no risk taker. he shouldnt have even done an mba, doesnt make sense with his personality. he would be a failed business man.

The problem is Misbah isn't flexible with his thinking and he certainly hasn't learnt from the mistakes made during his captaincy days.

Misbah ought to take heed to what Einstein once famously said:

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results"
