Mission Australia! how to snatch the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 from the hosts

Because of the superior quality, better skill set and greater captaincy of the Australian side in their home grounds.

Pak batting has not struggled against same team as much in UAE or Pak. It’s struggled in Aus. Why is that if the wickets aren’t different/bouncier than normal?

First things first,
Let's remove this misunderstanding out of the equation.

"Tall bowlers and pacey wickets" because we are going to play in Australia.

This is the biggest piece of bovine excrement that we not only believe in it, but also scared of it.

The two imbeciles, Misbah and Waqar were bogged down by these thoughts and they took Muhammad Irfan to Australia. lol, and we all saw what happened?

Here is the true fact and ground reality.

There is only and only ONE ground in the ENTIRE Australia that has a bouncy wicket. And this is Perth.

Besides that, there is absolutely NOTHING special in Australian wickets. They are just as normal wickets with minor variation from any other regulation wickets anywhere in the world.

Those minor variations make a huge difference in any sport. Average speed of ball coming to the batsmen (Pace) and average bounce being higher (Even if minor in some pitches) across Australia in comparison to sub continent makes a big difference.

India benefitted by regular A team tours to Aus and hugely contributed in their test wins as well. You are only able to adapt to conditions if you are somewhat used to them and keep in touch with them at least every couple of years which hasnt been the case for Pak or Pak A (Shaheens) sides.

We have the resources to go all the way. The batting order needs to be tinkered with to get the most out of it. I think Fakhar Zaman should come down at 6. He's a boom or bust type of player and coming in to bat with 3 or 4 overs left would suit his style to go after the ball. Also most teams will have pacers bowling at death so he won't be exposed to too much spin.

My preferred XI at this point in time would be:

Rizwan
Babar
Shan
Shadab
Nawaz
Fakhar
Asif Ali
Wasim/Qadir/Hasnain
Rauf
Naseem
Shaheen

If we get a slow start, we can promote someone for pinch hitting. Asif, Nawaz and Shadab should be sent in according to the situation.

I think Fakhar is already out.
Haider Ali comes in. Rest of the squad looks OK.

I would like to bring Shoaib Malik onboard - our fragile batting line can always use an old fox and a gun fielder.

Why not misbah, inzi ?
You guys will never move on from that 40 year old fox who disrupts team

Fakhar is a must and I think management realizes this. He's injured and still part of the reserves so has been given a chance to make it. We need him to click though and if he's not performing at the top than let's try him in a role where he's forced to go for it.

Don't forget the world cup is in Australia and the only team that can snatch it from them is India because we have The Legend Rishabh Pant in our team. :inti

Add West Indies or Sri Lanka to that too

It will most probably be WI, unless Zimbabwe or Ireland surprise them. SL can come into India's group only if they finish 2nd in their 1st round group but that's unlikely, they've got Netherlands, UAE and Namibia and I don't think SL are losing to any of them.

Most likely groups will be

Group 2
India
Pakistan
Bangladesh
South Africa
West Indies
Netherlands/Namibia

Group 1
Australia
England
New Zealand
Afghanistan
Sri Lanka
Zimbabwe/Ireland

I think Group 1 is a lot tougher. In group 2 it is basically amongst India, Pak and RSA.
Ban and WI are in terrible form while NET/NAM won't be as threatening as IRE/ZIM who have been causing some upsets lately.

As pathetic as it gets but this is how it is, Malik is still fitter, swifter, agile and has better nerves to play in pressure than a few in the current squad that are 20 years younger than him.

We currently have a non existent middle order. We do need an anchor. And Malik is our best choice

The romanticism over Pakistan’s overrated fast bowling makes me laugh.

They allowed Sri Lanka to go from 50-5 to 170-6 in the pressure of the final and got clobbered by their lower-order.

Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and India have better pace attacks with superior mentality. Pakistani bowlers just care about the speed gun, the quicker they bowler the quicker it goes over the ropes.

India do not have a better bowling attack in t20s but other formats they do.
