Following a Cricket Regulator investigation and a subsequent hearing before an independent Anti-Corruption Tribunal, Moghees Ahmed, an ECB-registered player agent who also trades as the International Cricketers Association, has been found guilty of four charges of breaching the ECB Anti-Corruption Code.

The Anti-Corruption Tribunal will make its decision on sanction in due course. The Anti-Corruption Tribunal’s decisions will be published at the appropriate time.

In the meantime, the ECB has suspended Mr Ahmed’s registration to act as an agent. Due to the ongoing nature of this matter no further comment will be made at this time.

@Major care to explain this???

Both Moghees and Misbah are corrupt to the core.

It’s not the first time that Misbah has got himself involved with corruption/conflict of interest.

This also happened when he was a committee member of the PCB, when he played his part to oust Mickey Arthur, so he could take his job for himself.

Apparently one of the charges against Mohghees was that he tried to bribe a coach to pick a player, and that the coach would receive a cut from the payment made to the player through the franchise….

@topspin so this bloke has been manipulating franchise selections like this, so it’s pretty apparent what these agents are doing. Hopefully the lid is blown off what Saya have been up to as well!

Lol, so Misbahs agent gets banned, and the usual haters are bashing Misbah.

So, does this mean Naseem Shah is also corrupt since they have the same manager.

Dont bring this dumb logic to me. Bring me something better.

This does explain how some LQ players were appearing in BigBash, like that bald glasses guy dilbar i think who i think played in a BBL game

So Misbah building his whole team around ICA players Ajmal, Hafeez and Azhar was all a scam basically…

What a dumb comment. Which LQ agent/coach picked players for Melbourne? You don’t even know what the reason is why Dilbar, Rauf and maybe a couple of other players were a part of their player development program. Melbourne and Qalandars were in a partnership at the time!

Moghees got clocked because his company is registered in the UK and with ECB accreditation. The ECB don’t mess around when it comes to these things!

Saya is getting away with it because it’s the PCB who are dealing with them.

I would be interested to know when Moghees became Misbah's manager. If it was more than 5 years ago, then Misbah's appointment as Head Coach must be scrutinised and investigated further.

If it was over 15 years ago then we need also to investigate the appointment of Misbah as Pakistan captain.

I would be grateful if someone could confirm when Moghees became Misbah's manager.

Also bro have you noticed, Hafeez (ICA) badmouthing the 90s players to make it seem as if his era and players from that era did more for Pakistan?

Well now I recon Hafeez should also be investigated and if he was also a Misbah/Moghees parchi

All of these guys are outcast of Pakistan cricket. History will remember them for that.

Considering they had signed Saeed Ajmal, it would have been since Misbah's captaincy days.

I think Azhar and Asad Shafiq cut off from him recently, otherwise it all makes sense now…

Misbah
Ajmal
Wahab
Sarfaraz
Azhar
Asad
Hafeez

Possibly others who represented Pakistan during this time who were not from this core, but got preference in selection because of being ICA clients

What did I warn you @Major

Beware the Almighty when you continue to slander a man for his past mistakes. You continued to hate on Amir for his mistakes in the past…

Today, the agent of your hero has been proven to be corrupt! Time will tell now as this Pandora’s box opens!

So how does the agent of a person make someone else corrupt?

Does that make Naseem Shah corrupt?

Just another desperate attempt by you. Like i said, come to me when you have something concrete. Keep being desperate

Like i said, based on that this also proves LQ doing the same with Dilbar. Nice try using the word maybe.

Misbah, Naseem all should be investigated. They should release statements.

Shadab came in during 2017 during sarfi and mickey era.

Shadab was fine in his early years. He regressed around 2022. Not everything is Misbah's fault.
Bro the point about Sarfaraz introducing Shadab with ICA in the backdrop doesn’t make sense.

It was Misbah who brought him into Islamabad United, that’s where Shadab got his exposure for the big stage. That in its self is questionable. Would Shadab have played for IU and got his exposure had he not been registered with ICA? Did Moghees manipulate this move through Misbah?

Shadab was brought into the team by Sarfi and it wasn't a bad thing. He bowled well in ct and wasn't a bad bowler.

From 2017-2022 he was considered a bowler only aka a replacement for yasir shah who was done and dusted.

It was afterwards where he started to suck and he viewed hinself as some sort of batting allrpunder.

Savak analysed his action and so did i. He changed it and my guess is due to injury. Hence he became horrible as a player.

One trend I have noticed however is that players during sarfi era all performed considerably better and were 100x fitter then they were in Misbah and babar's era.

Imam, Fakhar, Malik, Haris sohail, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Amir, Junaid, Hasan Ali, Shaheen etc etc all played considerably better then they did since Misbah took over.

Idk if it is due to culture that he promotes or sone other reason.

The only exception is wahab who was better in 2011-2015 under Misbah and Rizwan who was equally crap throughout every single era, Sarfi couldn't help rizzu ig.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to investigate a case involving a UK-based Pakistani agent, suspended by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for violating its anti-corruption code. This agent, Mughiz Ahmad Shearachiikh, along with his company International Cricketers Association (ICA), had represented 18-20 centrally contracted Pakistani players last year. Following an independent tribunal hearing, Sheikh was found guilty of four breaches of the ECB’s anti-corruption code, including attempting to bribe an English coach to favor his players.

In response, PCB advised players to reconsider their association with Sheikh's company, with some already disassociating. The PCB is also reviewing its policies to tighten approval procedures for agents representing Pakistani players

The Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) has issued its judgement and sanctions decisions in relation to Moghees Ahmed

An independent Anti-Corruption Tribunal of the Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) has issued its judgement and sanctions decisions in relation to Moghees Ahmed, after he was charged following allegations of corrupt conduct relating to an approach made to a professional county coach.

Following a hearing, Mr Ahmed was convicted of four charges relating breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code, in January 2025.

Mr Ahmed was then awarded a ban of five years, effective from the 26th of March 2025, with the final 30 months being suspended pending completing education and his future conduct.

Director of The Cricket Regulator Chris Haward said: “Moghees Ahmed sought to engage a professional county coach in a corrupt scheme which would have had serious consequences for the integrity of cricket in England and Wales and beyond. This lengthy ban rightly reflects the seriousness of the conspiracy Ahmed sought to embark upon. Offering, seeking or taking illicit financial inducements for selection is never acceptable and strikes at the heart of the integrity of our sport. Where corrupt conduct is suspected, it will be investigated and those responsible will be held to account.

“This case came to light due to the courage of the coach and others who reported their concerns within moments of the corrupt offer being made. They have also greatly assisted the investigation and tribunal process and are commended for their conduct.

Misbah’s best friend and agent.

No wonder Misbah wasn’t in the WCL side this year

Major’s modus operandi in such cases is to produce threads of his own but given his connection to Misbah, best to keep quiet! 😂

Moghees Ahmed statement on his recent ban:

The allegation, which the ECB Tribunal upheld, was that I offered a coach a cut of the commission I would receive if he selected, for overseas franchise tournaments, players that I represent. I stand by my innocence, as the allegation is ill-founded and reflects the vindictive stance of one person, toward whom I hold no personal ill will, and there was no documentary evidence to substantiate it. During the investigation, my records, including my bank statements and messages on my mobile device, were thoroughly examined, and nothing was found to corroborate the claims. It was therefore simply the coach's word against my own, and the Tribunal chose to believe that of the coach. At that time, and since, the coach has never had a team or been involved with any franchise, raising serious doubts about the practical relevance of the allegation.

This was not a case about fraud or corruption. It was a mischaracterised conversation that resulted in no breach of integrity. Nevertheless, the Tribunal accepted the version of events presented by the individual who made the allegation, despite the serious inconsistencies in his statements and the absence of corroboration.

I have never been involved in any form of fixing, bribery, or corruption, and that remains true today.

Crucially, CCTV footage presented during the hearing showed me and the coach who made the allegation walking calmly out of a short meeting in a shared common room and open space with others present, dining and working. Although the coach had claimed he felt deeply uncomfortable during the exchange, he later admitted that the footage did not support his account and that he showed no visible signs of distress. Despite this direct contradiction, the Tribunal found the footage inconclusive and gave it virtually no weight in its final decision.

Throughout my career as a cricket agent, I have maintained a spotless record and demonstrated consistent dedication to the sport. Upholding the values of integrity and professionalism has always guided my work and decisions in cricket.

The disciplinary process plays an important role in maintaining integrity in sport. However, my experience has raised serious concerns about the limited opportunities available to individuals to challenge decisions made under the current regulatory framework. The structure of the rules makes it extremely difficult to appeal, even where there may be legitimate concerns about the fairness or outcome of a case. This can leave individuals feeling that they have no meaningful way to seek review or remedy.

I remain committed to the highest standards of integrity. In my view, trust in any disciplinary system depends not only on accountability but also on ensuring transparency, fairness, and the opportunity for proper scrutiny at every stage.

This experience has taken a personal and professional toll, but I remain fully committed to the values of integrity, respect, and justice. I will now consider all appropriate legal steps to ensure that my name is fully cleared.

I appreciate the support of my colleagues, friends, and well-wishers and ask for fairness as this matter is addressed through the proper channels. Cricket has been my passion and profession, and I will continue to stand by the principles that define the spirit of the game.
