With so many highly rated players in the last few years not living up to expectations, Will Mohammad Abbas be the new hero we all desperately seek, the guy that can change the course of a match?
Let there be no doubt, his exploits in the recently concluded Test and in the 2-match series have truly been outstanding. He's also had stellar performances prior to this.
I think the last true star we had if not superstar was Saeed Ajmal. In the 90s we had an abundance of star players but that gradually declined over the years and decades.
We all love to reminisce about Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir's first stint before being banned. But this guy has already shown he can be just as good.
