Still remember his brilliant brilliant opening spell to Dilshan in the t20 final against Sri Lanka, how he set the best batsman of the tournament up with his pace and the short ball to end his misery, you can say he won that game for Pakistan there and then.

Now in the champions trophy finals he single handedly broke the back of the mighty Indian team, who knows whether we would have one the game had Amir been banned.

Excellent clutch player who will end up as an ATG bowler by the time he retires!

Aamer... demolishing 3 indian top order bats on a flat pitch in 5 overs...

This and this!

He has that 90s era swag around him. He is a champ. Never lets the situation get to him.

Also it's simply amazing how great he's bowling after the whole fixing saga, now he will be remembered for winning this final for Pakistan more so than lords 2010, could maybe be remembered for future finals as well inshala

Yeah and who can forget the match winning 37 against SL he is a clutch player who delivers under Pressure. He ain't no soft player who is going to bottle under pressure! Instead he rises to the occasion! Man I've replayed that Kohli no ball then wicket over a thousand times already!

Keep up the hard work, amir.

Never be disheartened when things are not going your way and people are calling for your head.

You have already proven that you still are a champion player.

Still have fond memories of hoe he got Tendulkar out in CT 2009 and the way he toke of to celebrate it.

This. His 37 vs SL was extremely important!

Of course now he will. He is such a talented player. I remember the day he came back after 5 years. Today i was in the car with my son who is just 8 months old. When i saw in crickinfo that he took out kohli I looked at the little one and was thinking. Boy in 16 years time I will tell you what a MOMENT it was!

Lol OP back to being Pakistani. :))

Bro that was just a jinx attempt that actually paid off, I'm such a bad luck that I thought if I switched teams Pakistan would do better and they did. Fairytale tournament.

Always back the greens. Exciting times ahead. Have unearthed so much talent past 2 weeks

Who are you fooling bud? I know you're an Indian Punjabi that started trolling Pakistanis after a couple of months into PP.

2011 WC for sure. Trio was trapped for a reason.

I was wearing my 2011 Pakistan World Cup jersey the whole match ;)

Being in the Indian ranks was fun, Indian brothers were nice to me and so were the Pakistani brothers.

A performance like that shows how wrong his critics have been. Today he was outstanding, but he's done it before too- Magical spells that clearly show him at his genius best. There isn't a pacer in Asia better than him. He's just a league above. Even on the world stage, he's right up there with the best. He also seems to be finally returning to some rhythm since coming back. Different class. I sense good times on the horizon for Amir, PAK, and their fans.

This guys knows who to deliver under massive pressure..he is the reason behind the 2 of the 3 ICC trophies we have won..
he was always special and will always be special more so i feel that indians ever since that Asia Cup spell in 2016 fear him alot..Rohit is his perfect bunny..barely survives or gets out..
I LOVE THIS GUY THE MAN FOR BIG OCCASIONS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MOM TODAY THAT 3 WICKETS WERE WORTH ABOUT 10 WKTS HE GOT 3 OF THE TOP 4 LEADING RUN SCORERS IN CT OUT IN A SINGLE SPELL THATS SPECIAL TALENT FOR YOU

Nice to see you go back to your country of origin after running such an extended jinx campaign. You the real MVP of this win man. :salute

Thanks mate, was eye opening.

Apologies to my Indian bros and hope we can still be bros. Your team did well and will continue to do so, just that we needed this trophy more.

Faith has been restored. Sorry I ever doubted you Amir; you are a class player.

Tremendous bowler.

Was a fan before the ban and believed in him despite his luckless returns since reintegration.

He' a fantastic bowler that hasn't had enough luck since returning; one PP lad suggested that his luckless run was similar to that of Ishant Sharma - Sharma is nothing like the bowler Amir is. LOL. Ishant Sharma. Ok yaar.

I don't know about ATG, but he will most likely end up as one of Pakistan's best ever bowlers.

This is the kind of performances that can transform bowlers.

This spell alone has struck the hearts of batsmen all around the world, Amir has recreated a name for himself, and I strongly believe that he can maintain this name for a decade as his work ethic is great, he plays with passion, nothing will come in his path as he has already dealt with his fair share of controversy.

On top of that he has Hassan Ali from the other end, another extremely promising bowler. Fast bowlers hunt in pairs, and this pair will go a long way

There's a reason this kid was setting the world on fire at his age. He's a special kind of bowler. Really does remind you of a Pakistani bowler from the 90's

Indians mentally crumbled to him. They are seriously afraid of him, and will be even more so the next time around.

Amir is the best bowler in the world. Indian batsmen fear him they crumbled under pressure. His mouthful to Sharma after getting him out on duck was epic.

for the first time in awhile i saw Amir charging in from ball 1 - beautifully set up Rohit, 2 across and 1 into him.

InshAllah he will be back to his best soon.

WOW, from zero to hero in 2 weeks, when he supposedly faked an injury(as claimed by ppers) against us in first game and now, things change fast in cricket. Kohli wickets (both) were harmless deliveries but ROhit wicket was very good

Big game player.

Would get kicked out of South Africa for this reason. :yk :murali

Amir get respect from every corner of the world where people play cricket.. every batsmen fears him every cricket expert talk so highly of him but here on PP some naive negative pp experts pulls him down.. what a shame he should be celebrated the same way indians celebrate kohli dhoni and jadeja...

Today on the back of a big score Aamir was on the attack. Throughout the series he was a little on the defensive and unwilling to push the ball up which he did today. Massive congrats to him.

Completely agree with you, He is once in a generation bowler and one whom we should be proud of, but still in his own country there are some people who downplay his skill and always take out negatives in him. I hope these people come out of watching matches on scorecards and praise him while he is playing, also I fully expect him to be one of the best bowlers in history to ever play cricket by the time he retires.

Mohammad Amir is a big match player and he is getting better

Come on man, jinxing doesn't work. All the superstition is in your head.

Next time you can openly cheer for Pakistan and it is much more fun too.

But we won the trophy because of me bro, I was the lucky 13th man, deserves some accolades at least
