Many were saying that Amir should be back in the national team. I myself entertained that thought but how is he expected to perform against the modern day batsmen when he's being thrashed around by old and retired players in the Legends League that is ongoing right now. In a league where teams are full of ex players, Amir was supposed to bring some fear into the camps as a current in-form bowler. But so far I've seen him get smashed around by the likes of Ghambir, Amla and Kallis. Straight trundling there in Doha. Should this be taken seriously at all? He should have the skills to roughen them old batsmen up but so far he's been bang average. It's not like he isn't trying.

This is coming from a somewhat fan of his.

It's kind of exhibition match, so he won't bowl in full tilt coz it'll be embarrassing..

Why is Amir playing in Legends league? He is not retired from cricket yet. Is he?

This league is for those in late-40's and 50's.

They are just having fun cricket, bowlers arent meant to bowl super fast etc, there is prob an unwritten understanding to bowl gently so the oldies can hit/score, otberwise it will fail (boring) if there is no scoring...

but apart from that, PCT needs to move on from Amir. should be chapter closed.

Shahid Afridi on Mohammad Amir vs Misbah controversy in the past:

"I think sometimes players give statements without realising that at some point they can come across each other"

"They should avoid giving such statements," said Afridi in reference to Amir's statement in which he blamed Misbah for doing injustice with him in the national team.

"I would like to give credit to Misbah here. I am not praising him because he is sitting here with me in the show. He has the quality of forgiving which you rarely find in our society"

It's kind of exhibition match, so he won't bowl in full tilt coz it'll be embarrassing..

Is it not embarassing to see himself fail in front of a bunch of retired ex-cricketers?

Anyway, 'shame' is not an emotion Amir knows much about. He understands the feeling of when a cheque is cashed and that is his priority in life.
