Mohammad Amir's spell in the Champions Trophy final is the most significant one ever by a Pak bowler

Considering it was the final of CT, it was against India. Pakistan has been through a long stretch of defeat after defeat against India and the latest one was just a few days ago. But Amir's magic spell changed the history, psyche and the future of Pakistan cricket. The spell's short term and long term effects will be huge on Pakistan cricket.

The closet comes the Wasim Akram's spell in 1992 world cup. That helped us winning our only world cup so far. People still remember it after 25 years. Certainly a great spell by legendary fast bowler, but it was not as shocking to the other team as Amir's to Indian. Amir took care of three of the top performer of the tournament. Wasim's wicket included one batsman, an all rounder who had past his peak and a fast bowler.

There has been many outstanding bowling spell in Pakistan's ODI history, particularly By Waqar Younis, but no at this a big stage.

Hasan & Fakhar got us to the final... but you're right... Aamer spell was just so BEAUTIFUL to watch.. it sealed the game for us and put end to anxiety... I actually thought india can chase it before he bowled..

The spell was just magical, the way he bowled the six overs i beleive no batsman would have survived it. We can give the MVP to Fakhar (he certainly deserves it) but for me Amir spell was the key to winning this match. He broke Indian team's back and there was no way any team can recover from that kind of shock.
