June 6, 2024, remains etched in cricket history as a day of seismic shock. In a dusty Dallas stadium, Pakistan, T20 champions (2009) and 2022 finalists, stumbled against a part-time USA squad making its World Cup debut.

The match, tied at 159, spiraled into a Super Over where software engineer Saurabh Netravalkar outbowled Mohammad Amir, sealing a 5-run victory for the USA. Former captain Wasim Akram branded it "pathetic", while fans mourned a "black day".

One year on, has Pakistan learned from this humiliation?

Super over bottler Aamir already retired one again , 100 Strike rate innings player babar Azam dropped from the T20 team. :kp

First it was haris who botched 15 run to defend in the last over and then came legendary Amir and made a mess...

Will always remember the match for the comedy Amir provided us with. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Pakistan selected some new and aggressive players and things have been positive since then.

Only against minnow Bangladesh. Even UAE won the series against Bangladesh.

NZ smashed Pakistan with so called aggressive players :kp

INDIA DEFENDED 119 RUNS AGAINST PAKISTAN "OTD in 2024"

Pakistan had 92% in Win Predictor then India won the match in T20I World Cup 2024. :kp

It is "money in bank" that counts. Once time passes on these "surprising" defeats.

There is a reason why our political/army hierarchy wields exorbitant influence in pak cricket.

Money rules roost. Quicker the merrier.

I dont understand why these resort to cheap shots.

That rizwanthet20champ troll would freqently use it against me on small things that are irrelevant to the conversation.

When debating a topic, easy solution is to target what someone stated 5 years ago 🤣🤣.

Good thing is we can target what someone stated 30 seconds ago 🤣🤣
They can take all the cheap shots they want. It doesn’t change the fact that they are now living with the tag of those ‘disingenuous clowns who thought 100sr cricket in T20s is the proper way’. They will forever be reminded of their crimes to towards Pakistan. They normalised and promoted the wrong approach to the game because it was their favourites who were the beneficiaries.

@daytrader has to live with it now. He should have snapped out of it when there was still time like @RedwoodOriginal , but that guy still is reminded of his questionable choices too by people here. Although I’ve overlooked them because I think he eventually realised he was wrong.

Guys like @Major @Ahmed216 @gazza619 @Kianig89 @Mamoon will suffer me for eternity

I have a lot of anger, venom for these people who made a mockery of my beloved Pakistan team!

A snake like @MMHS will not be allowed to casually slither in with comments like “Rizwan is Pakistan’s MVP”…kyun tere Bangladesh ki team hai jiska yeh MVP ban gaya eh??

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: this has to be the funniest thing i read in a while. Yes sir we should all be thrown in jail for supporting Pakistani cricketers.

Mockery of your beloved Pakistan team, jaise ke tune khareed li hai. Get some help brother, itna ghusa cannot be good for your health.

Yes you should

Because it’s your mindset that antagonised those who supported Pakistan players under Sarfaraz. It’s your mindset that made people feel they were evil for supporting guys like Amir, Imad, Akmals, Sarfaraz, Malik, Sharjeel, Fakhar etc when they were representing Pakistan. It’s you people who created the divide.

It’s one of your clowns who argues Shaheen is a greater bowler and servant for Pakistan than Shoaib Akhtar

It’s one of your clowns who argued Joginder Sharma is a more impactful bowler than Shoaib Akhtar

It’s one of your clowns who argues Misbah and Rizwan are better ODI batsmen in the middle order than Inzimam ul Haq

You’ve made your bed, now I will force you to sleep on it!

Oh bhai you're antagonized by your own demons. No one is holding a gun to your head to impose their beliefs on you.

Your blame is misplaced because none of the posters you tagged would put all these players in the same category. This grouping is made by you hence you're the one creating the division!

And somehow you feel vindicated that Babar and Rizwan have been dropped when deep down even you know they will be back at some point. Bro take my advice and seriously see a professional. This is not worth your mental health

Do you think I know this because “actually Babar and Rizwan are good players who realistically should be playing”, or because I know they are master manipulators of a corrupt system of the country?

Answer this question, let’s hear what you think about my hunch.

I have no problem admitting I was wrong about Babar and Rizwan in T20s. I think as a fan should be able to admit that if you really want what's best for your team. I backed both of them because I thought they were Pakistan's best chances at success. But the last two ICC tournaments have been eye-opening in showing everyone how much they struggle to handle pressure when it actually matters. I still think they can be good players for Pakistan in Tests and ODIs. But I think we shouldn't have any kind of high expectations from them because they are neither elite players, nor match-winners.

At the end of the day, its not about ego for me. I am more interested in the team doing well, rather than being right. Also, just because I support someone or put someone over doesn't mean I am their fan. I am not a fan of any specific player in the Pakistan team.

U suffer because of me?

U said u suffer because of me.

Didnt know that. I apologize
What happened to you the other day when Harris scored a 45 ball ton? You were going through a weird phase as a cricket fan?

These are agenda driven people. Saying they care about Pakistan cricket is the biggest lie. The kind of pain they were in after Pakistan defeated Aus and Saf in their own backyards under Rizwan’s captaincy negated their whole “Pakistan first” theory. Real Pakistan cricket fans would never be in pain after a Pakistan’s win.
I’ll take shadab as an example. I strongly believe he shouldn’t be playing limited overs cricket for Pakistan. His bowling ia pretty awful. But if tomorrow he improves and can help Pakistan win, I’ll gladly support him. I have no agenda. If you perform, you should be in the team, if you don’t you should be dropped. (Of course other parameters and variables apply but this should be the core phenomenon)

Don’t celebrate such anniversaries.

You still have to lose to Nepal, Oman, UAE and all.

:kp

Never forgive

Never forget

It was Babar Azam through his PR agencies and Rizwan who created this team, this humiliation.

We will not return to this shitshow!

Losing to USA was the culmination of many years of torture under 2 guys who didn’t want Pakistan cricket to evolve because it suited their stats.

Never should we return to this!
