What a poor display by India today. Couldn't watch any match due to father's hospital visit. But man ..beizzati hone wali thi aaj
Too many first ball ducks.

Rinku is useless. He is a one trick pony and does not deserve a spot in the team for his batting alone. Played a 6(14) pathetic innings.

Yes don't understand the hype about Rinku..to be honest, he has hardly got any chance to bat long as top order mostly bathed through the innings in most of the matches leading up to the WC

Had to tune in..phone is pinging even Indian colleagues saying something fishy.

As soon as I tune in.

Indians struggling to take a wicket.

Milind Kumar says don't worry India not losing on my watch. Goes for a cheeky walk down the pitch and a wink to the wicket keeper

Cricket has really died in this world cup.
The most entertaining part of any tournament is the brain dead conspiracy theory Pak fans come up with.

I mean how dumb do you need to be to think to fix teams need to get into good positions and then lose instead of losing from ball 1? Won't it make more sense to not try from ball 1 if it was fixed?

Here's one conspiracy from me - Netherlands were pwning Pakistan with short and short of length balls and easily winning but decided to bowl full to faheem last 2 overs for no reason.

Call came from ICC to keep Pakistan in the tournament?

Indian born Shubham is showing spirit even with playing on one leg. But Pakistan born Ali khan ran away lol This show the difference between attitude of these players.

Let's leave the political Pakistan/India statements off of this shall we?

Milind and Sanjay figured out what needed to be done. Look for the single boundary and keep hitting singles. Ranjane definitely had the power hitting needed to get that done but with his knee out he couldn't take the singles and doubles that would have kept the pressure off the run rate.

Losing by 29 runs not ideal but we're placed well for future matches. Given today's performance I think we're at worst third in this group and have a shot to advance if we beat Pakistan.

Sanjay played age group cricket in Bengaluru. He is a very good talent. Has bright future.

US needs 2-3 honest goray players in their team.

At the moment even if you give them benefit of the doubt, it is an Indian Board, with Indian players. I believe board was directly appointed by Jay Shah too.

I seen their u-19 team and it was all Indian origin too but at least those players are born in USA.

Anyway good effort from Ali khan who bowled his heart out and gave his body for his country, good effort from the other bowler and good honest effort from the leggie. Lots of credit to those guys. I think Sanjay batted well too but otherwise batting was a bit lacking.

One thing I can say though regardless of the players output, it is nice to see the desi US fans out US team first over India/Pakistan. Most of these posters seemed like they genuinely wanted US to win and it was same when US defeated Pakistan.

We don't have that in UK or even Aus. It is a good sign for the country.

Excited about the US team. Hopefully more from the next generation of desis opt to play cricket. Getting access to high quality infra and support staff shouldn’t be a problem in the long term.

Thanks brother! He is stable. On chemo for past 8-9 months. Terrible disease! Everyone in family gets so busy. He has been managing it with a remarkable courage so far.
Prayers for him bro. Suffered similar with another family member recently. He is blessed to have a son to accompany him and you are blessed to be given the ability to accompany him too. insha'Allah all works out for the best.

Yes, he may join team India soon after his valuable services. Same goes for their captain.

Indeed.

Where were Corey Anderson, Steven Taylor, Ehsan Adil, Sami Aslam, Hammad Azam etc.?

USA filled the team up with randoom Indian lalloos instead of qualified cricketers.

This is what happens when Indians control things I guess. :inti

Not just this, but in every match.

Most of the Punters lost the money because they backed india to score 200+ , initial run line was 240 🥱🥱🥱

:klopp :kp
Yeah but they made it back after giving some signal to US bowler and some batsman.

If you ask your gambler circle they will tell you the same.

Even during Stuart law incident, it was mentioned there was a good camaraderie between both sets.Bolwers from ind and pak were helping each other .it somehow triggered law and he said something awful.
What exactly happened with him? Was he exposed as a racist or something?

Corey Anderson had an injury last year and likely hasn't recovered from that. He's anyway not the player he was for NZ

Steven Taylor has a history of disciplinary issues(including alcohol problems) and was pretty much dropped after the last World T20 after a poor showing

Ehsan Adil was going at 11 RPO in the latest MLC season.

I don't think Hammad Azam even bowls regularly anymore. Strike rate of 109 in last year's MLC with bat.

Sami Aslam - has he even played at any decent level in 5-6 years?

Their selection is done by their head coach who is Lankan.

I don't think any of those names would've improved this side

Stuart Law has coached many international sides. He was the coach of BD also. He is not a racist.

He probably wasn't submissive enough to Indians. So, they booted him out.

Just Indians doing Indian thing. :inti

USA cant pick almost retired ex international players to have a future. There is a decent supply of homegrown talent coming through who see cricket as a viable career option. Tough but still way better than a few years back..no point picking washed up ex international players.. stixk with homegrown young players and will be much better off..

USA side is a true sub-continental XI

That's the only way cricket can have a presence in North America. Desis and Caribbeans keep the sport going here. Others don't understand cricket let alone care about it.

Cricket is not among top 5 popular sports in either USA or Canada.

I used to play league cricket in Toronto. I saw just 2 white guys out of 500+ cricketers (one was an Aussie). Rest were all desis or Caribbeans. 90% of the cricketers are desis here.

+ Some South Africans

Just 2 South Africans. :inti

USA cricket is effectively run by the Indians. That needs to change if USA cricket is to flourish in the long run.

I think Hassan Khan should've been picked in the squad. He is good enough to play for USA and he's not that old. But maybe he didn't meet residency requirement or something.

Yeah obviously. Most Americans don't even understand cricket, let alone play it.

Just seeing the highlights now. This Subham guy missed a sitter of SKY. USA would've won if he had caught that.
If USA gets it's other ethnic folks involved in Cricket, they can probably even dominate Australia.

Yup...jokes aside, great advertisement for T20 cricket.. if they were one sided, would have been so boring.. both of them were a cracker of a game from an entertainment stand point! 👍
At the end of the day, despite the scorecards, a dropped catch in each match swayed the result. That's a very fine margin and both associates deserve credit.
