3 very similar all-rounders:

Batting Average:
Hafeez = 32.35 @ 75 SR
Malik = 34.61 @ 81 SR
Afridi = 23.57 @ 117 SR

Bowling Average:
Hafeez = 34.87 @ 4.1 ER
Malik = 37.26 @ 4.6 ER
Afridi = 34.61 @ 4.6 ER

That's how I would rank them as batsmen:

1. Malik
2. Hafeez
3. Afridi

And as bowlers:
1. Afridi
2. Hafeez
3. Malik

My pick would be Afridi as he will be a good option for #8 batting position in ODIs, an all-rounder who can bowl 10 overs of spin giving 46 runs, picking up a wicket, and then scoring a quick 23 in the lower order. I think he has more utility in shorter formats than the other two.

If you have to pick one of them as a spin bowling all-rounder in your ODI team, which one would you pick and how will you rank them?

Average is overrated in bowling dept, especially in LOIs. ER and SR is matter most.

lol. Bring back the savior.

FYI, his bowling over the last few years had regressed a lot - might want to keep that into consideration.

Quick 25 and 46 for 1 or more wickets!

Ideal no 7.

Absurd comparison.

Hafeez was our best LOI player for quite a while, and a batsman who scored a heck of a lot of tons.

Hafeez doesn't struggle against pace, Malik struggles against EVERYTHING above 129kph. Hafeez just has trouble against seam/swing.

Bowling too he was 10x ahead. So, Hafeez > Afridi > Malik

Potentially I would like to have afridi , but he will be a floater in my XI . I will use his batting according to the situation .

I think it's time to dial up the Razzler instead.

Him and Malik formed the destructive duo.

In batting:

Hafeez > Malik > Afridi

Captaincy:

Malik >>> Hafeez > Afridi

Bowling:

Afridi > Hafeez > Malik

Malik was a poor captain, body language and field placings were equally bad.

He was tactically good.

Geoff Lawson had high praise for Malik.

Shame it could not work out in the long run.

Hafeez as batsman >>>> Malik=Afridi (current form, otherwise Malik of pre 2007 was superior to the 2)

Hafeez as bowler >> Afridi > Malik (if Hafeez is allowed, at current form again - Malik's been a limited bowler always)

So there you are

more and more I have to agree with Mickey. If you are over 30 you have to deliver more often than not. And these guys' records indicate they are not really going to be losing you more matches than winning
