If anything Siraj got a much longer rope in international cricket than he deserves with the kind of performance he was having.

In present form, yes Rana is a better bowler. Had a great IPL and did well in the only test match he got to play. Also, he is a bowling all rounder where as Siraj can't hold the bat.

But he has more variations than Siraj. So will be handy in death overs. But there are some other youngsters they could try.

It is great to see Siraj back in some sort of form. He was brilliant in ODIs till the Asia cup and then went off the boil. If he regains his form back it will be great for Indian ODI team. Shami, Bumrah, Siraj and Arshdeep will be good ODI attack along with Pandya.

I know the question was put out to Mezonic but in general a typical Hindu Indian from an educated background will have no problem with it. Muslims aren't really a minority in this country and they are present in every walk of life living as free as a Hindu. There are exceptions to this, there are places where Muslim majority look try to dominate Hindus and vice versa. But those pockets are few and the media magnifies it. Also to put things in perspective most of us believe in Country first, religion next. So we don't mind if any cricketer thanks the God he believes in as long as he performs his best for the country and does not talk religion and politics( you might not really see Indian cricketers thank Hindu Gods atleast in public because like I said for most of us religion is secondary and comes after the country). We are proud of our diversity and are probably the only nation where 2 major world religions survive without too much of a problem.

Some of us though are pretty narrow minded irrespective of religion. When Shami did not fast for Ramzan or put photos of his ex wife not covered in a veil, some dogmatic Muslims had a problem, when the same cricketer does an Azaan, there are a bunch of Hindu folks who have a problem too.
