So who is the most respected and loved cricketer in your country from other countries respectively?

Darren Sammy doesn't count because he hasn't been playing international cricket since 2016.

I am from Pakistan, the most loved currently (int) playing player is Babar Azam.
At the moment i think it's
Kane Williamson - NZ
or Ben Stokes from England
It's just way too hard to hate this guy. The way he led NZ during WC and the way he took the defeat on the chin won him thousands of followers across the world.
The stuff Stoakes has been pulling off since 2017 has been jaw dropping and is definitely one of the most adored guys in cricket world.

Kumar Sangakkara was by far the most loved foreign cricketer in Pakistan during his playing days followed by Hashim Amla I guess.

I wouldn’t say Stokes is the most loved. Definitely admired for his game but has a slightly snobbish personality just like Archer. I would say someone like Root or Mooen is the most loved.

Its none other than one of the nicest guys that played the game of cricket on field.

Mr. Williamson takes this even in sleep. On 14th June 2019, he stood up and showed the world why this game is considered as the game of gentleman's spirit.

I would assume Dravid would be well taken by all. Kohli, although snobbish, is another who is liked. Bumrah must not be far behind.

Bumrah is very young, probably just in his 3rd or 4th year of international cricket.

Dravid and Dhoni are the most loved indian cricketers in Pakistan.
Think Dravid is loved everywhere.

Kohli wasn't liked that much in Pakistan till 2015 or 2016 i think, before he became the full time captain, due to his supposed aggression. But everyone loved his game though. After he became the full term captain, and Pakistani fans saw him not being very overexpressive in the games between the two, I think they started loving him more.

Rashid Khan i think is most loathed cricketer in pakistan.

No-one (non-Indian) can surpass ABD's popularity in India. I reckon adulation equals respect.

There are a few others like Kane, Amla, Steyn, Malinga etc.

Maybe Misbah too for obvious reasons..... :babar

Of the present cricketers, I think the two name comes to mind are Williamson & WIN Captain Holder.

Will stick to today's players. In Pakistan the players most respected that aren't Pakistani are:

Kohli
Williamson
Sammy
Amla

If the question is about sheer respect of character, I think Sammy takes it by a mile in Pakistan.

In terms of respect of sheer skill, there is a lot of respect for Kohli and MSD.

Sammy has tried to get into our culture and he came to Pakistan when not many players would . So he has a lot of respect.

Respect is built with fighting on-field battles however to answer your question its's Stephen Fleming. Don't thing he has received hate so far.

Definitely. I also have respect for Indian cricketers who ignore the mainstream hate for Pakistan these days - Ganguly, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, and even Azharuddin all have a lot of respect here (even though all of them have recently made statements against Pakistan to pander to the crowd).

People gained a lot of respect for Kohli when he gifted his bat to Mohammad Amir.

the most respected foreign cricketers imo, in pakistan, are rahul dravid, brian lara, viv richards, shane warne.

Viv Richards
ABD
Kane
Lara
Gayle
Shoaib Akthar
Stokes
Baz
Watson
Wasim Akram
Waqar
Rasheed Khan

Um, it's very easy to hate Stokes. I can think of about 5 examples off the top of my head where he has shown his true character:

- Videos of him mocking Harvey Jordan (the severely disabled child of UK celebrity Jordan).
- Assaulting a man during a night out with Alex Hales
- Swearing at a cricket fan in Jo'burg
- Unneccesary disrespect toward Marlon Samuels
- Sent home from Australia in 2013 for flouting alcohol rules while on tour

I'm sure there's more.

As a Pakistani supporter, Tendulkar, Dravid and Dhoni.

Dhoni way ahead than anyone else...these guys were class players and class people.

I like Bumrah too, comes across as a gentleman...

These days, Williamson, Sammy, Moeen, Buttler, Fawad Alam, Tamim Iqbal, Cummins and Amla of course.

Absolutely this. Stokes is a total bad guy.
