Quite funny for kids. Both my kids were enjoying it a lot earlier. Kind of growing out of it now. It is very popular among kids

My nephew and niece watch this cartoon. They don't allow us to change the channel while this is going on.. and these kids are malayalis who doesn't understand hindi...:)

Yes wish the animation was better though almost like the 90s kids level animation, luckily the content is working here.

Personally chota bheem's animation is better.

Desi kids are loving it. I found it quite avrage compared to Japanese cartoons I watched in my boyhood like sinchan , kochikame that featured amazing main characters.

I think it also comes in Tamil..

animation is by design like that. I have few ex-colleagues who have joined their design team. There specs are very clear that they don't want to update the look and feel. The look and feel of a cartoon is based on their target audience. The design team feels they are actually spending more to keep it that old looking and have made several presentations with updated look and feel which have not got the approval.

by the way they pay really well

They don't understand tamil either. Tbh, it's good to watch it in hindi so that they can pick up that language more easily.

oh, surprising.. Most tamilians understand Malayalam quite easily. So I thought other way around works too

close cousin's wife side fully Tamil sir.. just about everyone understands Malayalam in their family easily.. last time as a family we went to Kerala tour (sometime in 2013) and it was fun to see them converse with Malayalies.. each talking to other in their own language and seem to get along quite well. They used to get some blank stares if any one of from either side spoke too fast (as most of my cousin family tend to do), but overall they managed. anyway kaayal will obviously know more

They are better than Chota Bheem type cartoons as they use less Hindi words. It itches me when Pakistani kids speak hindi words instead of urdu in their conversations.

Never heard of this show before, searched it on youtube and found out that even pewdiepie has made a video on this show, seems it's very very popular

Jaded is right. We can understand tamil and also can speak a bit much better than the tamilians understanding malayalam and conversing in it. Most of the time when we have to talk to tamizh people, we talk in broken tamil not in malayalam. Very rarely you can see a few talking in malayalam.

I think it's mostly because of tamil movies which has huge audience in Kerala.

Wait. You don't speak malayalam. How. Why? Which language do you even speak?

Ofcourse i speak malayalam at home and also to other malayalis. But tamizh people (the state of Tamil Nadu) doesn't understand malayalam that's why i have to switch to broken tamizh or english while dealing with them.

I don't know if it's just me but I hate Indian animated shows :P There is no humor, absolutely no imagination in most of the ones I have seen. Maybe their target audience is 3 year olds, I don't know. For some reason, I have always found it a lot easier to relate to American animated shows and Japanese anime. Phineas and Ferb is my favorite! I feel the only reason for the popularity of shows like Chhota Bheem, Motu Patlu, Roll no. 21, etc. with kids is that all the shows that were actually good have been taken off air. Kids these days have never seen any quality shows 'cause this crap is all that airs on Indian Television these days!

I have seen Pakistani news channels doing programs on the huge popularity of Motu-Patlu, Chota Bheem and also other foreign cartoons which are dubbed in Hindi like Sinchen, these cartoons were heavily criticised in the news shows as cultural invasion from India and many shows have asked to ban these cartoons in Pakistan.

What is your view on this cultural invasion theory? Do you support banning these cartoons?
