Muhammad Naeem - The enigmatic opener of Lahore Qalandars

Hopefully Qalandars can get him a gig at Melbourne as well, because of their PDP transfer program. This will do him a lot of good if he can learn to deal with the bounce on Australian decks early on in his career

He can become a proper T20 opener for Pakistan both home and away
Weren’t you calling him trash just last month?

Some of his shots are reminiscent of Jason Roy, but a long long way to go before he can be considered for international call up if it ever happens.

Yes..

We all were

Did you see him anything as trash at the time? Was there any proof out there from domestic cricket to suggest he wasn’t actually what he has turned out to be?
Perhaps a lesson

perhaps a lesson to not judge so quick

No matter what guys like Naeem and others do in PSL, i would not trust them for one second in international cricket unless they give 2-3 good seasons in domestic cricket.

Now it is up to him to invest in his game. Of course he can play T20 franchise cricket. It will not help if he goes the same route as our other paper tigers and start playing cricket all over the world and not working on his game.
How does he work on his game? Pak domestic won't polish him. I feel he needs a personal coach coupled with a county stint

He's a good looking batter. Got some good power.

However needs to develop a offside game as well as needs to go to domestic cricket for awhile.

But the lq owner have given clarification

He is 26 yrs old?!?!

Huge potential, but I don't know how much time it'll take before he is ready for intl. cricket

He still very much struggles against the short stuff

Not sure what this means. If you’re suggesting that Imam is one of the most successful Pakistani ODI openers of the last 20 years who has had a much better career than Sharjeel, I will agree with you.

Fakhar and Imam are the best Pakistani ODI openers since Saeed Anwar.

The guy hit 23 sixes in the PSL and just as many fours if not more. A special talent
