Hope they won't play Irfan unless he has magically recovered to last 20 overs. Go with Sameen Gul and Abrar. They have enough right-handed batsman to play a leg spinner. Plus bit earlier start time less dew.

Umaid will be a big loss for Peshawar, he's been very good for them. I imagine Sameen Gul would come back in alongside Imran, Irfan and Amad as the pace options.

Peshawar Zalmi win the toss and opt to bowl first.

Multan are unchanged, while Peshawar bring in Sameen Gul.

Where was he the entire tournament?

Played a match before as well and took 3 wickets but, in the next match went for plenty.

He is pretty good with new ball but not so much at death.

He is pretty good with new ball but not so much at death.

Realistically though, his limitations at the death shouldn’t play a factor in him not playing.

There’s a player at CSK, can’t recall the name, but he’s only tasked with bowling his whole quota in the first 4.

I’m not overreacting at his first over, but any player should be played to their strengths

He can't and that's the problem. Bowls a good swinging length but only swings it one way.

Oh okay that's a big problem then.He should develop it. if he can do that he can be a very good option for test cricket.

Masood and Rizwan are really struggling against Sameen.

They have to go after Irfan because they can't line Sameen up at all.

Both of these doesn't work together. Should have been someone else opening with Rizwan. Shan putting all pressure on Rizwan.

PTV sports coverage has improved in last year or so but, high time they update it to HD. They have done really well financially over the last few years if I am not wrong so it would be a worthy investment.

No bowler in Pakistan can swing it both ways. So he’s as good as you’re gonna get

Both openers ramping it up now, test for Sameen to recover.

Excellent swing bowling by Sameen Gul. Get him into PCT.

Not in T20s but, should have been in the test squad in the last season or so but, doesnt seem to be hyped in Pak cricket circles like some others.

Good recovery from these guys, 25 runs from the last 2 overs.

Yes, he is not perfect, goes for runs. But he has a beautiful swing and you're right, he could do well in tests, with the red ball.

Look at how Zazai bats and compare it to Rizwan and Masood.

Our batsmen a are a joke when it comes to T20 opening!

I find it difficult to understand why these professionals cant play lofted strokes with the field in

Ramiz has to be the biggest joker, hes saying on commentary that more people are watching this match than Pakistan vs India in WC

Sameen Gul bowling all over the place.

Singlehandedly launched MS innings.

The way Masood and Rizwan have had few 50 partnership and that too at a good rate definitely shows some so called hitters how to go about it with their skillset in a comparatively risk free manner.

PZ missed an opportunity to try a matchup here. Mohammad Imran got Rizwan out on one of their previous encounters on a slower ball so he could definitely have been deployed against him. He is yet to ball an over which is pretty surprising

2 very good overs from Amad so far.

Really impressed with him to date in the matches he has played in PSL6 in UAE.

Multan need to take a few calculated risks , its better to be 190 all out rather than 175 . 3

And he gets Rizwan again.

this is such a bad strategy: play slow, dont take advantage of PP and then try to get going later

Rizwan should have carried on and increased the tempo now. Not the best knocks at the end after a decent start

I think we can now conclude rizwan is out of form.
Imran is improving. Should have had 3 by now

56-57 or so in 7 overs without a loss was pretty decent and almost all teams in the world would take that but yes they should have pushed and executed better in the next few overs

100 up

46 balls remaining , they need to go after the bowling now and aim for another 80 runs

Thats one extraordinary shot from Maqsood against such pace

That flick/ramp from Maqsood was insane, against serious pace.

The openers bring the steady foundation, and the middle order bring the fireworks. Complete team.

The openers bring the steady foundation, and the middle order bring the fireworks. Complete team.

This is how it should be for Pakistan after Rizwan and Babar provide sound foundation and the rest to take advantage and up the ante later, but the Tika (Talat, Iftikhar, Khushdil, Asif) players in particular are unable to accelerate and lose their wickets when they try.

The 50 partnership between Maqsood and Rossouw comes up in just 20 balls.
