His last good PSL had his ******* clamouring for his return. He did return and failed in 3/4 innings. Maybe that's why he asked to be given 3 chances as he knows he's garbage.

What you are calling selfishness is match awareness, yes sometimes judgement of match situation can be wrong. That is what Haider needs to show now, he is still young so I can understand if he gives it away but would be impressed if he develops a good partnership here.
