"My dream has always been to play for Pakistan" : Mir Hamza

Seriously Pakistani bowlers stats are so misleading. You can't seriously judge the bowler based on stats, condition of the pitches are so abysmal that these set of bowlers are exposed while playing test cricket.

The performances of our bowlers in ODI shouldn't hide the fact we at the lowest level of fast bowling at test cricket.

This is the problem with the current pitches (previous 5-7 years) being used in domestic cricket. An average of 9.95 is ridiculous? Pitches like these don't help anyone, the batsmen can't learn the art of constructing an innings and the bowler doesn't have to out-think the batsmen. Don't know whats going on.

We play our test cricket on the flattest and deadest pitches in the world in the UAE. The pitches in Pakistan need to somewhat resemble them. This will tell us who is ready for test cricket.

I saw Shoaib Akhtar and Rashid Lateef commenting after the 5th ODI and they were really impressed with his seam position and work ethic etc. Latif said that last time when he played in a T20 for Pak, he played with an injury and that is why he did not perform well. Both of them seem to be of the opinion that he has a very bright future ahead of him.

I saw some folks commenting on how he could not bring the ball in (in another thread) but when I saw the wicket highlights, the first wicket he took was on an in-swinging delivery that the batsman (right hander) played looking for an outswinging ball. All in all, I think he is much better than Junaid for sure!

bhai you are talking about Usman Shinawri while thread is about Mir Hamza. Mir Hamza has not debut yet for Pakistan.

I saw Mir Hamza swing it miles in England but has he been replicating that swing in flat conditions?

Man, they both confuse me too much LOL

Mir Hamza is similar to Usman. Action, physical features as well.

Pakistan is producing so many quality left hand fast bowlers; some of these guys should migrate to another country to play international cricket as Pakistan cannot debut all of them

I agree with your overall point but in the match where Mir Hamza has just picked up 7/68 and 5/69, the team scores were: 504, 312, 285 and 97/1 so he's outperformed the other bowlers in this match by a pretty long way.

Ditto, that got me fooled as well when I was posting because I was in a thread about Usman and then saw Mir Hamza's FB videos and I got fooled as well; I do know Mir Hamza has somewhat of a cross eyed appearence compared to Usman. But, they do look and even bowl almost in identical manner

People had similar doubts regarding Mohammad Abbas but he has been our best fast bowler in Tests since his debut.
We might need the " tail-ender specialist" in ODI's given our lack of penetration with the tail in that format. :srt

5 wickets in an innings for him against WAPDA, including the dismissals of PP's 2 favourite players, Salman Butt and Kamran Akmal :yk
