Ahmed Shehzad speaking on TV
On playing an international team after a while - 'I felt very good about it, in my opinion whatever happens in your life happens for the best, sometimes you have got to stay positive, sometimes you tend to see things negatively, somehow you have to remain positive'.
'I have friends and family who keep me positive throughout the ups and downs. You have got to stay positive whatever happens'.
On his 50 in the match - 'I have scored a 50, but given the amount of grass on the outfield, if this was somewhere else it would have been a 100 because you don't get value for your shots here. The ground was not prepared fully and the pitch was very slow, so you've done well'.
On the pink ball - 'Sharjah is not known for very good lights, this is the first time I've played at Sharjah with the pink ball. I did have some problem with it but it is a good thing to have, things are changing, ball is moving. At the end of the day you have got to entertain the crowd and somehow, day night matches will push the crowd to fill the crowds'.
On competition for opener's spots - 'I'm playing my cricket and focusing on cricket'.
