"My fifty would have been a hundred on any other pitch" : Ahmed Shehzad

Why is he acting like Shahrukh Khan? Doesnt sound natural in the video

Hmmm. :)))

I have no idea how this pretender of a batsman is playing for an international cricket team. That too, one of the top teams - Pakistan.

HOW?!?!?!

On this freaking ground and pitch, ALL the hacks, poor quality bats got united and scored for fun.

Heck:

Adnan Akmal: 69
Iftikhar: 63
Shan Masood: 58
Shehzad: 52

He's NOT even a top-3 scorer, and he's saying he's scored an equivalent of 100, is very satisfied!?! Please, keep him out, woeful bat with the worst technique out there.

Thanks for that. Quite pathetic indeed.

How to make a comeback? Wasim Akram’s advice for Ahmed Shehzad

Pakistan bowling legend Wasim Akram believes right-hand opener Ahmed Shehzad will have to participate more in club cricket to make a comeback in the national team.

“There is a reason Sarfraz Ahmed and Asad Shafiq have been so successful; they play club cricket whenever they are free from international duty,” said Wasim before the start of play on day two in the Pakistan-West Indies day-night Test at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

“Shehzad needs to focus more on first-class and club cricket because that is his only way back into the national team,” Wasim, who is serving as an analyst for PTV Sports, added.

“There is a very simple formula for Shehzad to make a comeback, he just needs to put up a few big scores in first-class cricket and the selectors will give him a chance,” he continued.

Wasim’s argument was supported by his fellow analyst and Pakistan spin legend Saqlain Mushtaq. The off-spinner said that he had seen Wasim participate in club matches even after they both became stars. Saqlain said he took the cue from Wasim and also played club and domestic cricket to keep his performances in check.

Former left-arm pacer also made a tongue-in-cheek comment about Shehzad eating Biryani during his off-time from cricket, but later covered it up with a great advice.

“Talent only lasts for a few years, hard work is necessary to keep oneself going for a longer time,” said Wasim.

Shehzad last represented Pakistan in the 2016 World T20 in March. He and Umar Akmal were then pushed out of the team plans on disciplinary grounds. Umar made his comeback against West Indies after a scintillating performance in the National T20 Cup.

How to make a comeback?

Hope that Sami Aslam has a lean patch. He is much better than Masood and Manzoor, while Hafeez doesn't have much time left at this level.

Only Sami Aslam stands between Shehzad and the Test XI now. Azhar of course is untouchable and will play 100 Tests.

You don't have much hope from sami?

You don't have much hope from sami?

I do in Tests, but I'm speaking from Shehzad's perspective. As things stand, his best chance of making a comeback is to hope that Sami Aslam fails, because Azhar is not going anywhere.

If people can make comebacks following multiple retirements, then this is cakewalk.

Does not matter, Sami has cemented his place and there is no way Shehzad can displace Azhar as the 2nd opener.

I use to be fan of this guy , con by this guy , but reality is he should be kept atleast 100 miles from the team , dont know how he was able to built his image as aggressive player with strike rate of only 72 , when he along with hafeez , shan masood , afridi was the reason , we lost so many matches .

https://youtu.be/xv_QCsX36dE

He looks so full of himself.

jesus hes an idiot. wheres the question and where's the answer. all he wants to talk about is his being booted out of the side. hes a carbon copy in all his mannerisms of afridi. hes not even talented. with other batters in the fray now, his name shouldnt even be mentioned. he is a *****. there is nothing positive about bringing him back in the side with the size if that chip on his shoulder.

Might be lucky is he gets selected as reserve opener for both ODI/Test sqauds.

So what's his run tally on this tour according to the SHEHZAD METRIC

Hahahahhaha

What a super bump Slog .

Damn how come this guy plays cricket for our national team?!?!

I dont mind aggression but needs to be channeled correctly.

Scored a 24 in really overcast conditions and which would have been easily a 72 in any other conditions #win
