These are the two beauties I got from Ajit (Online Stockist). I recieved the SG Sunny Tonny today and the BDM was bought few months ago, as you can see they are Grade 1 bats. Both of these bats are top quality and they are top bats. The pickup and feel of both of these bats is most impressive! The pictures don't do justice but they are huge and comparing the size of the bat with its weight one can easily say these bats are massive!

I tested them with mallet & ball and sound/ping is sooo sweet that I don't think I will need to knock them, overall I am very happy with both bats. Feel free to ask any questions or leave comments. thanks

Welcome back Knightrider....I thought u had retired from PP...lovely bats those...especially like the SG...what is the weight of the bats? How is the pick up?

Welcome back!
Nice bats love the grainage and shape of SG, What are the edges sizes and weights of the bat?
What else have you picked up whilst youwere away?

Nice bats, 2 things that I noticed.

The SG looks very similar profile to the RNS you posted a while back. (Im convinced SG makes RNS bats now)

BDM have copied others and gone with a more concave spine. Wondering whether compared to older BDM's if they have larger edges or pick up better.

You're not wrong, both those bats are grade 1. Which one pings better?

Good to see you back!

Both bats look really good specially the SG.

How does the SG Sunny Tonny compare with the SG VS 319 Ultimate?

Mr M knightrider, love the look of that SG. I reckon we are due a pic of your current kit ;-)

thanks - BDM is just under 2.9 and picks up very light because of its higher middle and concaving. SG is a bit heavier at 2.11, pick up is not all that great because of its very low midde, very thick toe, its good for front foot play. SG was for my little bro but a bit too heavy so I've listed it for sale on ebay.

Hello Anmol, thanks, Edges are not as massive as some of my other bats but still pretty thick looking sticks. BDM is 34mm and SG 37mm, both bats have steep spine. I havnt bought any other cricket gear (apart frm these 2 bats) because I missed most of the season because of illness.

New BDM's have bigger edges and a bigger(concaved) spine compared to older bdms's. SG sunny Tonny profile is nothing like RNS unik and RNS have there own factory in Punjab. I think the BDM pings a bit better but havnt tried it in match yet but will do soon in next match if the rain stays away.

Profiles are very different, VS had decent light-ish pick up, Sunny Tonny pick up is a bit heavy. Ping and quality of the willow is similar.

My sunny tonny

Hi bro ,

I also bought one Sunny Tonny last season . The bat was great and is still great . But it took me quite a while to get it knocked in completely . But once it was done , bat was striking the ball like a hammer . I have hit one of the biggest six of my life with this bat . The best thing is its balance . Balance is even better than the GM icon which i have .
But my bat dont have thick edges so am a bit afraid to use it for hitting or in slog overs .
Anyways great bat .
Can u anyone let me know about the performance of SS ton matrix , or any other bat which I can use in slog overs .

SS DRAGON T20 bat will be very useful when it comes to slogging the ball in last overs bcoz of very light pickup & amazing ping....!!!!
