In exclusive remarks to PakPassion.net, the PCB Chairman has indicated that he is trying to convince all parties to play in Karachi. In that regard, he has been in touch with the Chief Minister of Sindh and Rangers for security. The Franchisees have also been approached to convince them to bring in foreign players for PSL games. The ICC Security firm has been asked to provide a green light for matches to be be held in Karachi, with construction firm NESPAK being tasked to carry out civil works at the NSK in the coming four months time.

Very good news. Hopefully the SL T20 goes to plan as well

great news

if construction is completed before that than it is good .4 month for NESPAK should be enough

PSL3: ICC experts arrive in Karachi

KARACHI: A security team, who works with ICC, FICA and various international cricket boards, have arrived at the National Stadium Karachi on Monday to inspect and discuss security arrangements for proposed PSL matches next year.

Reg Dickason of Eastern Star International arrived in provincial capital of Sindh over the weekend and was received by Pakistan Cricket Board’s head of security Colonel Azam.

He is also scheduled to meet Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and IG Sindh A.D. Khawaja later in the day.

Heavy contingents of police and commandos were deployed around the National Stadium ahead of the security expert’s visit.

Dickason was roped in by the PCB in an attempt to regain the world’s confidence in security arrangements in Pakistan. He was also involved in security arrangements for World XI team’s recent visit to Lahore.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the PCB aims to hold two to four matches of next PSL season in Karachi.

Say what you like about Najam Sethi but the guy has made genuine efforts to try bring international cricket back.

Been his staunch critic all my life but I gotta say credit should be given where credit is due. Although some of his policies regarding (television rights previously) have been questionable he is doing a very good job in bringing the game back to our country - For that he has my (as a cricket fran) full support, and this is coming from a guy who couldn't previously stand Sethi or his policies.

Couldn't agree more. This guy is the best cricket admin so far in my opinion!
