He made an interesting observation and compared it to a hypothetical case where he once hired a manager who was very brilliant, smart and had helped him generate a lot of revenue, profits in his business but later on he found out he was involved in some corrupt dishonest practices and upon learning about that, he fired him.

He then hired someone else, that person was extremely honest but he unfortunately was not as sharp or intelligent as the other guy and he lacked the energy of the other guy and the end result was that his business suffered badly and was in an even worse state compared to before therefore he had no choice but to let this guy go as well.

End result was that he had to end up hiring that the previous person again and he accepted the fact that the person was not perfect but atleast he knew how to get things done.

Lol Sethi was clearly giving his opinion on the IK govt right now. He mentioned that corruption is a reality in any society and to completely eliminate it is not realistic. He even went on to say that a country can suffer irreparably from grotesque incompetence.

I find it really hilarious at the way he is projecting Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto has if they have proven incredibile leadership qualities whereas Imran Khan has zilch and is completely incompetent.

I have seen Sethi give interviews and i know deep down he is a very intelligent person. But these views of his are really disturbing me, it is quite clear and blatant he is trying to misuse his public influence, influence the audience with an ulterior motive and its as if he has been hired on the payroll of the PPP and PML-N to promote, defend their parties and to non-stop bash the PTI 24/7.

I believe for a person to be truly competent, he must not be corrupt. If a person is corrupt he can't be competent no matter what result and progress he might be making superficially.

Competency doesn't mean to be able to get things done regardless of the chosen method. A person who uses illegal means, to me is incompetent regardless of his ability to get things done.

Competency to me is the ability to get things done through the proper means. When I say corrupt I don't mean morally corrupt but corrupt in a way that the person uses illegitimate means to get things done.
