India ready to help find peace, Modi tells Ukraine

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid a historic visit to Ukraine, telling President Volodymyr Zelensky he is prepared to play a personal role to bring peace.

The Indian leader was criticised by President Zelensky last month when he hugged Russia's President Vladimir Putin during a trip to Moscow on a day of deadly Russian strikes, including one on Kyiv's biggest children's hospital.

Mr Modi, 73, said he had told Mr Putin that problems could not be solved on the battlefield.

"Both sides will have to sit together and to look for ways to come out of this crisis," he said after meetings in Kyiv.

Mr Modi arrived in the Ukrainian capital by train from Poland, the first international leader to visit since Ukraine forces crossed into Russia's Kursk region in early August, seizing more than 1,250 sq km of territory, according to the military.

Six weeks ago, President Zelensky had spoken of his “huge disappointment” at watching Mr Modi warmly hug the Russian leader.

On Friday it was the Ukrainian leader's turn to be embraced by Mr Modi – although it appeared a more awkward greeting. Mr Zelensky appeared to frown, but equally it may have been the sun in his eyes.

Smiles were few and far between.

More than 40 people had died in Russian strikes on the day Mr Modi had visited Moscow. Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv took a direct hit.

It was surely no coincidence that the first place Mr Modi was taken on Friday was Ukraine’s history museum where he was invited to watch an exhibition remembering all of the 570 Ukrainian children reported to have been killed since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

Both leaders crouched down to place soft toys at a makeshift shrine, and India’s prime minister said later his heart was filled with grief at the young people “martyred” in the war.

At one point he put his arm around the Ukrainian president's shoulders - an image posted on Mr Modi's social media account with the message that his heart went out to the families of children who had died.

Later on came his personal offer to help initiate peace talks, with Mr Modi stressing only dialogue and diplomacy would end the fighting.

India had never been neutral in the war, he insisted. "Right from the first day our side was peace," Mr Modi argued, pointing out that he came from the land of Mahatma Gandhi, whose statue in Kyiv he visited earlier.

But behind the language, the fact remains that India has never condemned Russia’s full scale invasion and, in effect, has been helping to power Moscow’s war economy with Delhi overtaking Beijing last month as the biggest importer of Russian oil – at a time it has been hit by Western sanctions.

Mr Modi and President Zelensky discussed Ukraine’s ongoing incursion into Russian territory, although the content of that specific conversation is not known.

India did take part in a Ukraine-led peace summit in Switzerland in June, to which Russia was not invited, and Mr Zelensky urged Mr Modi to sign up to a joint communique that highlighted the territorial integrity of Ukraine and all other states.

However, he thanked his visitor for “supporting our sovereignty and territorial integrity”, a sentiment that Mr Modi repeated shortly afterwards – as both men hailed it an historic day.

They went on to release a joint statement, pledging to build on the two countries relations in defence and trade.

India never takes sides. That has been the policy since its inception. Modi is continuing the same trend.

There are no permanent friends or enemies in this world.

Humble request to Pakistani posters to post with maturity in this thread and for a change let go of the natural instincts to blindly criticize him just for being from the other side of the border.

As a mass leader, he’s been extremely hard working and visionary.

He toils hard for his people.

Please do not derail this discussion.
It’s not to discuss Bharat’s domestic political affairs.

This discussion is purely about PM Modi’s role as a global leader and diplomat.

This photo op is purely for domestic show, Modi has no real authority to end or facilitate an end of a war between the West and Russia. No one here just woke up yesterday.

For that matter no single leader can stop this war just like that.

But this is a great attempt by PM Modi. Visiting both nations within a month.

Yes, those who are truly involved can end it. Modi, however, is neither capable of seeing a battle through nor avoiding embarrassing himself with ludicrous statements, like claiming that cloudy conditions could prevent radars from detecting jet fighters.

You need to get upto speed with geopolitics. Modi is not going as a mediator or to end anything. And the Ind gov has stated that openly. Maybe you should read these BBC and NYtimes articles instead of just blindly posting negative comments

It should not even have started in the first place. Everyone was trigger happy. And now the only way out is Ukraine losing some land and both countries agreeing to a permanent ceasefire and just being normal. Wars are a horrible horrible thing. Ind policy has been to never start any wars unlike its western neighbor who is perpetually in war like state.
If Modi can atleast get Ukraine and Russia to atleast talk - that will be a big achievement

Diplomatic language - that is all I have to say, as I said, no one has woken up yesterday unless one belongs to the cult Modi.

Thread title is 'Ambassador of the Peace'

If by any chance this can have a major peaceful impact on this war, PM Modi might have just made himself a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Yes , the whole trip is diplomacy. Thats the whole purpose. And Modi has started no war. In fact Ind as I said above has never started a war- even the previous governments. That is Ind policy . At the international level - Modi and his gov have engaged with rivals which very few countries can do. Its always Ind 1st policy and thats how it should be for every nation. Ind is the only country to do a balancing act b/w Russia and US ; and b/w Israel & Palestine as well.
I just hope my country US stops meddling in other countries' affairs - and thats why for all the bombastic talk Trump is the only US president who has never started a war in a long long time.

What a year PM Modi is having as a global leader.

In the historic G20 summit under his Presidency, he also inducted the African Union into the G20. A major win for the global south and a landmark achievement for Bharat’s diplomacy and cementing its position as the leader of the world. A true Vishwaguru!

Bangladesh The Latest In BJP's Divisive Diplomatic House Of Cards Collapse

After weeks of student-led mass protests, Bangladesh was thrust into political turmoil. This marked an abrupt and dramatic end to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 15-year rule in the former Pakistani territory.

The relentless protests began after quotas were imposed on government jobs amidst severe economic challenges faced by a young population. Matters escalated into a broader and violent anti-government uprising. A nationwide curfew and suspension of internet services were enacted. As PM Hasina accused the protestors of 'sabotage', the protest organisers returned to the streets as part of their 'non-cooperation movement', demanding the prime minister's resignation. Local media reports suggested that the government's harsh response worsened the unrest as protestors, security forces, and ruling party activists clashed on the streets of Dhaka and other cities. The deadly violence claimed over a hundred lives, while thousands more were injured or incarcerated. When all her authoritarian efforts to crush the protests failed, PM Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled to neighbouring India on August 5.

The ouster of Sheikh Hasina and her government created a power vacuum in the eighth most populous country in the world, and unruly mobs gained strength to target the leaders of the Awami National Party and its allies. There have been reports of attacks on Hindus, which comprise about 8% of Bangladesh's 171 million strong population, apart from other minorities such as Christians and Buddhists. The interim government, led by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, insists that the reports of violence against minorities are "exaggerated and often fake" and that whatever violence is taking place is political, not sectarian. As the interim government attempts to restore law and order in the country, there is a pressing need to ensure the perpetrators of violence are brought to justice, and the victims are fairly compensated for their losses. According to the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council head Oikya Parishad, there have been more than 200 incidents where temples, religious crematoriums and other places of worship have been vandalised and attacked by mobs.

Owing to the widespread violence, thousands of people in Bangladesh have been attempting to take refuge in India. There is grave panic among Bangladesh's Hindu community, and thousands have gathered at the Indian border, seeking to cross over to what they believe is safety. However, on August 5, as Hasina boarded a helicopter out of the country, the Indian government decided to shut the 4,100 kilometre-long border and suspended the railway network to Bangladesh. Although Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his concern over the reported attacks on minorities in Bangladesh on 'X', formerly known as Twitter, his reluctance to help the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh is ironic, given his party's (Bharatiya Janata Party) strong commitment to Hindu nationalism - especially in neighbouring countries. The fact that they have offered asylum to Sheikh Hasina, the main culprit of the violence in Bangladesh, further aggravates the pain of affected minorities.

The BJP government cannot effectively build a cordial relationship with Muhammad Yunus's interim government as long as they provide asylum to his staunchest political foe, former PM Sheikh Hasina

The big question is why the BJP government has made such a seismic shift in its policy pertaining to minorities' protection in neighbouring countries despite being the orchestrator of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019. Responding to objections raised by human rights organisations, Modi's government has insisted that the law was not discriminatory against Muslims but rather a means to protect those escaping religious persecution in other countries. In my opinion, the answer is rather straightforward: the BJP government is more interested in bringing the interim government into its political orbit than protecting Bangladesh's religious minorities. The BJP government cannot effectively build a cordial relationship with Muhammad Yunus's interim government as long as they provide asylum to his staunchest political foe, former PM Sheikh Hasina. That the BJP government continues to provide asylum to Sheikh Hasina adds to its dilemma. This is especially important after it emerged that New Delhi actively lobbied Washington to adopt a lenient approach towards the Hasina regime despite her autocratic tendencies.

Following fervent campaigns for the protection of religious minorities, like the CAA 2019, and efforts to pass legislation against Hinduphobia at the United Nations, the BJP government has become hostage to its own political rhetoric. In fact, many political parties in India across the spectrum have decried BJPs' inaction regarding the crisis in Bangladesh. Recently, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray echoed these sentiments in the following words: "If Prime Minister Modi could stop the war in Ukraine, he should also take similar steps in Bangladesh and save the Hindus."

Let's be clear, everyone understands that war is bad and peace is good, no one here is a child. Modi isn't in Ukraine to end the war, not because he doesn't want to, but because he simply lacks the capability to influence events there. While he might be able to foster peace in India's immediate vicinity, that's an entirely different discussion.

Everyone grasps the complexities of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, who the involved parties are, how and why it began, who initiated it, and how it might end. Modi plays no role in any of this. If his visit to Ukraine was merely a photo opportunity, with no deals signed or diplomatic achievements, then Indian citizens have every right to demand an explanation for the expenses incurred. After all, many domestic workers in India are so poorly paid that they are forced to seek employment in Arab countries, serving the whims of overweight sheikhs

The world has its eyes and hopes firmly on Narendra bhai Modi’s able shoulders to bring Russia-Ukraine to a compromise in the name of humanity and old gods.

Again Modi or Ind gov never said they will stop the war or even mediate. More of an advisory role. Helping role. To atleast initiate talks between Russia and Ukraine. Never said Modi or Ind plays any role to end - dont know where you are getting that info when even bbc and nytimes is not saying that. The foreign trips are part of geopolitics- a necessary requirement in the modern world. Modi put Ind on the global map as a soft power inn foreign circles worldwide. If you cant understand that - thats ok. Cant blame you if you are in pak and under pak establishment rule. - because you have probably never ever seen it as nobody calls pak for these big geopolitical events nor is pak capable of doing a non aligned balancing act. They have a bowl with imf and are constantly at US and China mercy.

Also not sure what arab sheiks have any relevance here. Yes agree Ind is still a developing country and there is still poverty and it will take a while before its totally eradicated. And yes, Ind needs more toilets as well before you bring it up. Nobody is denying these growing pains. So people will go to other countries incl Arab nations.

After recent humiliations I believe Modi tried to make amends with western allies and show he can still be useful to them by going for jhappi and puppi with Zelensky.
FYI , Modi will jhappi and pappi anyone and everyone if it benefits Ind. And thats how it should be. Modi works for the people of Ind not the other way round. Modi or Ind is not the caretaker of the world nor should it be involved in other countries affairs. Ind first should be the elected gov policy which is what bjp/nda is doing.
Not sure if folks who have always been under establishment rules where no single PM has ever completed a 5 yr tenure in their 75 yrs history would ever understand that..

What benefit do you think the jhappi pappi got for India here? What Indian affairs got rectified by being groped by Zelensky?

Why is the so called peace maker hiding the greatest despot and terrorist leader in the history of the subcontinent in lavish treatment while his neighbours ask for her to be handed over? Can you outline the benefits to India that he has gained you by shacking up with this old woman?

Please use the understanding you have developed by living in a democracy for 75 years that you feel we lack to educate us on these matters brother.

Part of geopolitics. Ind has to play a balancing act b/w Russia and US. And its the only country which pulled it off. Not antagonizing Russia or US. Providing non ammunition help to Zelensky and Ukraine. Again if you dont get it , thats ok. Cant blame establishment ruled people.

On Hasina - she was allowed safe passage by Ban army. Why did they even let her leave ?? And Ind was a stop gap option as she was planning on asylum in UK or US. And they both denied it. And now , Ban revoked her passport. So not sure how even will travel. Ind has always maintained that it was a temporary stop and have no intention and neither should they keep here. And afaik, both Ind and Ban are working on an extradition treaty right now.

If you say Ind has not developed in 75 yrs as a democracy, I have nothing else to say.. Cant debate with truth deniers or who live in an alternate world. For sure, will be the first to admit - Ind has a lot of issues, has a long way to go yes but it is on the right path though and the democracy foundations and roots are very strong for a nation that is so so so diverse. Ind is more like Europe in that aspect - 30+ languages, multi ethnic, multi diverse..

Modi hugs everyone lol ! Putin zelensky biden obama trump, netanyahu, abbas, saudi mbs, macron , the Pope , sunak , zuckerberg, etc etc. part of diplomacy !:D
Also if you know the Meloni & Modi ''Melodi" hashtag that took Insta and twitter by storm !:)

I haven't said anything about India's democracy or development or anything else really.

Its you who randomly brought up those points for no reason perhaps because criticism of Modi is something you take personally.

In my opinion this was a face saving visit by Modi not something else. While he was hugging Putin, Putin attacked some Ukranian kids. So Modi was compelled by Western powers to go hug Zelensky and say prayers for the Ukrainians.

Again part of geopolitics. Ind cant antagonize Russia or USA. Ind is not a super power so has to play the balancing game delicately. If you consider it a face saving visit which is to Ind and its people's benefit- then so be it. There is no personal ego- he as a pm haa to work for the best interests of his country people.
Would rather have leaders like him vs trigger happy bombastic lwaders if its to India's benefit.

So in a nutshell, Modi is trying to find peace between Russia and Ukraine for a bump on his Insta likes, instead of trying to find peace between Muslims and Hindus in his own country.

Comedy gold! 🤣
Read the articles above before these silly comments. Comedy gold is when i can say it but the post will be deleted. 😁

Simmer down.

You don't even live in India.

If you love Modi/India so much why don't you move back to India? Do you have to reapply for Indian citizenship?

After plethora of negative threads on Modi, good to see a positive one here. Well done dear @Bhaijaan :kp

Modi is the biggest statesman and tallest leader of all time from Asia.

Bangladesh The Latest In BJP's Divisive Diplomatic House Of Cards Collapse

I am surprised he didn't announce collapse of India itself.

The establishment of Pakistan doesn't give two hoots to the opinion of pakistanis and here pakistanis are deciding about what Modi can do and what he cannot.

Apne Mulk ka dekh lein zara. Agli kisht kahan se aani hai.

Simmer down.

You don't even live in India.

If you love Modi/India so much why don't you move back to India? Do you have to reapply for Indian citizenship?
Didn't know that you have to live in a particular country to post here. None of the pak posters here live in Palestine or kashmir or the pan Asian Islamic ummah but post about it 24/7. What logic is that ? Am just stating the facts- if thats a bitter pill to swallow then i am not sure what to say.

You should have seen my previous posts. Never said Ind is the best or else would not have moved to USA. Ind has a lot of issues and is still a developing nation with growing pains but atleast its on the right path with its strong democratic roots..

For US citizens who have an indian origin there's something called oci card - overseas citizenship card. Entry to ind anytime and you can own and buy property in Ind which is what i have. Also FWIW- its easier to get a pak visa for us Citizens of ind origin whereas the opposite is almost impossible. Take that for its worth.

Modi meeting Putin and Zelensky. Our neighbours are up in arms. God knows why?

What benefit do you think the jhappi pappi got for India here? What Indian affairs got rectified by being groped by Zelensky?

Why is the so called peace maker hiding the greatest despot and terrorist leader in the history of the subcontinent in lavish treatment while his neighbours ask for her to be handed over? Can you outline the benefits to India that he has gained you by shacking up with this old woman?

Please use the understanding you have developed by living in a democracy for 75 years that you feel we lack to educate us on these matters brother.

Brother I think you have not watched Munnabhai MBBS.

A loving Hindustani hug has healing properties. It can melt hearts of even the hardest.

Zelensky seems absolutely shocked that Modi is a bigger actor than him

Nothing but two emotional men letting it all out. No shame in that. It’s the first time since war did I hear from PM Modi about his truest thoughts on this ultimate tragedy in which many people lost their lives and the saddest part is the war happened between brotherly nation. We know this trauma very well because the western forces have made us fight our own blood brothers Pakistan. For decades we took each others life. We know how much it breaks the heart to know when a brother is made to fight his brother.

If Modi ji ends up resolving the issues between Bharat & Pakistan and usher in a century of peace and prosperity, he will go down in history as the undisputed greatest political leader of all time. It’s going to be his biggest mission to bring Bharat & Pakistan together and help heal the wounds of the last many decades

Modi ji’s connect with the local leaders and people wherever he go is quite amazing. Gives the aura of a spiritual leader more than a political leader.

Securing strategic partnerships for Bharat wherever he goes

President Zelensky, do not be afraid no more, we have embraced you as a brother and will do our best to protect and you and all our friends in Ukraine till eternity even if it means we have to show the unhappy eye to our brothers from another mothers Dear Russians

Can you explain the benefits of the visit?

Can you explain the benefits of the visit?

This visit has given President Zelensky the much needed assurance that Bharat has not abandoned them during difficult times. We will continue to provide them moral support and humanitarian aid and at the same time work closely with them and the Russians to bring this war to an end as per our pledge to mankind for a safer future.

It’s also sending an extremely positive message to ROW.

Can you explain the benefits of the visit?

What Bhiajaan said above, but also as a soon to be Mahashakti, Bharat needs to assure nations worldwide that our era won't be oppressive or imperial like USA/China's, Bharat won't love or hate you based on religion like the OPEC block, nor would Bharat be a pawn to America/Russia's petty global ambitions like some of our parosi mulks.

Modi ji has sent the message of peace and unity to the world, and I hope we can all keep our differences aside to celebrate this man's vision. A rare gem, that's our Modi Ji.

I hate him exactly for that. His statesmanship and being ambassador of peace. India doesn't need a Jimmy Carter, but a Lee Kuan Yew.

Most Pakistani Muslims believe Modi is worse than Hitler. While most Indian Hindus believe he is greater than Jesus Christ. Fact remains, he is the democratically elected PM of his country. But then again what would people of a particular country understand what a democratically elected government is where no PM till date has completed his/her tenure of 5 years.

PM Modi is a politician just like the rest of them.

If he wouldn't implement the farmers law and get rid of the Waqf board when his party had majority in parliament what does that tell you ?

But he is not like the rest of them. Nothing could stop congress from bringing laws it wanted, whether in center or states. But Modi wants the acceptance of those who criticize him and don't vote for him. He will do anything so that they don't call him a dictator. eg. lateral entry was happening under congress for many years (manmohan, raghuram etc came through lateral entry), but when it happened under BJP, congress forced them to withdraw it.

Modi is not like the rest of them. The rest of them KNOW how to get their demands met. Modi on the other hand will do a U turn and roll back so that he is not blamed by opposition and those who don't vote for him.

Funny how Ukrainians gave him a kiss at memorial for dead kids and then pinched his cheeks at memorial for gandhiji.

This was a classic humiliation ritual at play by Western powers.

thread is a propaganda post by a known…. Well, ill let you connect the dots.
The visit is for buying ruskie oil and to sell uskie weapons.

Thought indians only came ‘here’ to dEfEnD india, otherwise why would they be here?

A total viswaguru. In times where western powers are ruled by people like sleeping Joe and holidaying Kier, Modi is the tallest leader in the world. What a proud moment for India.

BTW, the burn and jealousy in this thread is epic :ROFLMAO:

Modi is a very touchy feeling leader , still remember him holding hand with Nawaz sharif . Im not sure if this is some silly act or him trying to be a liked leader but doesn’t come across as a powerful figure .

He clearly has people behind him to discuss policies & agreements. I think he’s there as more of a rock star because India feels he’s admired but the world will deal with any Indian leader but I’m not sure how many really admire modi .

He is nothing to do with Pakistan and Pakistani people. True, their is no democracy in Pakistan and Pakistanis are acutely aware of this, they know the ground realities… is this news?!?!

How do indian muslims or minorities think of modi?

All this modi this modi that is tiring for Pakistanis, we cant be arsed with him. We have our own issues

He’s a genuinely friendly guy.
All his life he’s helped alleviate pain and suffering of people through his social works. His achievements are incredible and by the time he’s done he would have probably attained a status no global leader in history ever has.

I hope he gets the Nobel Peace Prize one day and Shankh of the Sanatan because of his works.

He is the Indian pm or reincarnation of mother Theresa?

What suffering has he alleviated from the globe? I’m not aware .

Also have you met him at all ?

He is responsible for at least one fifth of humanity on the planet. Among them he has lifted many out of poverty.

Why have so many threads on India then?

That one fifth was part of global humanity.

The people whom he hugged are not complaining. You can whine as much as you want.

Does he hug Dalits or ordinary poor people? Would you complain? Because I would !

Your bhaijaan claimed he does good work around the world. Let him answer as you have no biscuits 🍪 to share on this .

There is a kiss and there is a Muslim leader's kiss. Why do Muslim leaders kiss each other or others on their cheeks or on their hands? I don't do that when I meet my male friends..

DOD, India Ministry of Defence Enter Into Security of Supply Arrangement

On August 22, 2024, the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Ministry of Defence of the Government of India (IN MoD) entered into a bilateral, non-binding Security of Supply Arrangement (SOSA). The SOSA was signed by Dr. Vic Ramdass, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy, on behalf of the United States, and Mr. Samir Kumar Sinha, Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisitions), on behalf of the IN MoD.

Through this SOSA, the United States and India agree to provide reciprocal priority support for goods and services that promote national defense. The Arrangement will enable both countries to acquire the industrial resources they need from one another to resolve unanticipated supply chain disruptions to meet national security needs.

"This Security of Supply Arrangement represents a pivotal moment in the U.S. – India Major Defense Partner relationship and will be a key factor in strengthening the U.S. – India Defense Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI)," said Dr. Ramdass. "I look forward to OUSD(A&S) hosting the next DTTI meeting this fall to deepen cooperation between our respective defense industrial bases and pursue bilateral co-development, co-production, and co-sustainment initiatives."

In the Arrangement, the U.S. and India commit to support one another's priority delivery requests for procurement of critical national defense resources. The U.S. will provide India assurances under the U.S. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS), with program determinations by DoD and rating authorization by the Department of Commerce (DOC). India will in turn establish a government-industry Code of Conduct with its industrial base, where Indian firms will voluntarily agree to make every reasonable effort to provide the U.S. priority support.

With an expanding global supply chain for DOD, SOSAs are an important mechanism for DoD to strengthen interoperability with U.S. defense trade partners. The Arrangements institute working groups, establish communication mechanisms, streamline DoD processes, and proactively act to allay anticipated supply chain issues in peacetime, emergency, and armed conflict. They are also a useful tool in developing investment strategies to ensure redundancy and security. India is the eighteenth SOSA partner of the U.S. Other SOSA partners include Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

About the Department of Defense's DPA Title I Office:

Within the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (OASD(IBP)), the Defense Production Act (DPA) Title I, Manufacturing Capability Expansion and Investment Prioritization (MCEIP), ODASD(IBR) is the office responsible for securing and maintaining SOSAs with DOD's foreign partners. DPA Title I's efforts are focused on ensuring the timely availability of critical industrial resources to support national defense requirements through the U.S. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). DPAS is a self-operating, legally binding U.S. priority system for industrial goods and services, administered by the DOC. In conjunction with DOC and through delegated authorities, DPA Title I oversees the prioritization and allocation of DoD national security contracts and orders rated under DPAS. DPA Title I's efforts support requirements of stakeholders across the U.S. defense industrial base, including those of DoD components and its delegate agencies, foreign partners, and private industry. Through the execution of its mission, the DPA Title I program ensures the nation is prioritizing the production and procurement of critical defense industrial resources it needs in order to meet domestic and foreign partner national security demands in today's ever-evolving threat environment.

I think that's the Arabs bro, not the converts from the sub continent

There is a hug & is a modi hug . I hope you don’t hug men like this when you first meet them? You bat for India , remember

Not in first meeting.
Only if it’s a date in which I have been talking to the woman since a long time by chat and it’s a long awaited meet.

With men, I reserve hugs until we develop a brotherly bond.

I think that's the Arabs bro, not the converts from the sub continent

Half true but not all SC Muslims are converts. Some have genuine Turk, Uzbek, Persian blood in their veins because Muhaubbat between the tourists and local Bharatiya women also existed and was often times consensual.
