Based upon numerous tweets from Shadab Khan and Nassem himself, seems like a done deal.

Question is, if this deal is good for Naseem? How does he think he will take more wickets by moving to Islamabad United.

More importantly though, is this the right way to do it, why are PSL management not clamping down on this sort of rumour mongering on Social Media?

What a strange question to ask...

Trades & rumors of trades is fun and engages fans. You want more of that, not less. Just look at how NHL/NBA/MLB etc are run.

The important point is Naseem's injury rehab. Is he 100 percent fit to play this PSL season?
Quetta on the other hand should not let him go anyways. He is one of the main pillars of the team's bowling camp.

Nothing strange - rumours amongst fans is one thing

Players themselves talking about it - essentially is a breach of some sort.

Don’t mind this

Serves Multan Sultan’s right for manipulating IU players to not agree with the trade because they are from the same management company as the captain

Negotiating ploys to get better deals or garnering interests of all the franchises.

rumors and trade talk is one of the best thing about league sports. This is how NHL and NBA runs. NHL has rumors spreading that go up to 6months. This is just 2 weeks and already people have issue

Zindabad move

Zindabad QG. Take the money and run. 2 proper bowlers for one crock

More happier for Abrar. He will finally get to bowl under a proper captain and this will allow him to grow

As for the trade, IU made a terrible trade.

Abrar is gold category. Should had kept him and not traded for Imad. Now with two plantinum players and both not able to spin, it was a ridiculous move by them. Atleast Abrar turns.

Shadab played it safe. Shadab's issue is that he wont play another spinner that can threaten his spot in the international team. Now that Imad has retired, and Shadab doesnt fear him taking his international spot, he threw away Abrar and bought Imad in.

On the other hand, QG did a blockbuster trade. They not only got two good players, but one of them being in gold category makes there whole balance strong.

In life, always remember those who stood with you at your lowest points.

Nadeem Omar, Sarfaraz etc believed in Naseem throughout his rut since 2020-2022. They did the best they could for him whilst others had started to lose faith in him.

The guy had one good season and he thought he was too good, too big for them. Very sad to see this

Quetta need space in the categories. ANd if Naseem is injured, that was a waste of platinum space.

IU is finally getting a makeover. The move to give away Wasim and Hasan is good (both spray guns, can't bowl with the new ball) and getting a proper new ball bowler in Naseem is good. Not happy with Shadab continuing as captain. With Hales, Munro and Gurbaz, they have their top 3 sorted. Imad and Naseem can open the bowling. Shadab and Imad can bat at 6 and 7 or 5 and 6.
Don't know if they still have Azam Khan. If he's not there, they need to pick a good wicketkeeper in the auction (Pooran or Kusal Perera or Mendis maybe) But having an only oversees keeper would mean IU having to pick him regardless of his form.
Asif Ali and Fahim are two more cricketers I don't really rate much but they have done well in PSL somehow.

Naseem was one of the premier fast bowlers for Quetta and now he has been traded with Islamabad for Abrar and Wasim. This a good trade for both teams actually. will bring balance to both sides in blowing department.

Premier pacer too scared to bowl in the stumps?

Naseem was building up nicely to be a quality bowler. He could have done much more then he did in the past.
Well he better do a lot more now having deserted those who stood by him when nobody was willing to

Nobody was willing to?

You can't be serious. Naseem was hot property from his very 1st season. If quetta had released him then every single other franchise would have lined up for him.

Great move for Naseem to move away from Omar assioaties. Pathetic franchise lead by even more pathetic captain.

I think this is a win-win to be honest. I think Abrar is going to be an amazing bowler in T20's and Quetta bought his stock while its still relatively low. Abrar finally gets a proper chance away from Shadab to show what he can do.

Wasim Jr. has struggled at times in PSL but still young and a talented bowler. Islamabad gets a much needed premium bowler who most importantly, is elite at death.

I do hope, for Naseem's own sake, that he misses the PSL and uses all that time to be fully fit & healthy so he can be available for the 24' WC.

Islamabad united would be happy with imad & naseem deal. And shadab would be happier with abrar's departure. So no more insecurities, means more business for IU this season.

Good to see teams shaking and changing things up. It was getting boring seeing the same faces again and again playing in the same franchises.

Islamabad has made their bowling line pretty strong with this trade. Imad and Naseem can be very dangerous if Naseem is fit to play this PSL.

Leaving Quetta Gladiators was challenging for Naseem Shah, but he is now content being a part of Islamabad United.
