The National Men’s U19 One-Day Cup is set to begin on Sunday, 21 September as 18 teams from 16 regions will go head to head in Charsadda, Muridke, Peshawar, and Sheikhupura in a total of 72 group matches along with a final the PCB announced on Friday.

The final of the tournament has been slated for Tuesday, 14 October, while the venue for final will be announced later. The PCB has set aside a prize pot of PKR 3.475 million with the winner taking PKR two million and the runner-up getting PKR one million.

The best batter, bowler, wicket-keeper and player of the tournament will get PKR 100k each, while player of the final will be awarded PKR 75k. The tournament also marks the continuation of Pakistan’s build-up towards the next iteration of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2026 in Zimbabwe and Namibia.

The 18 teams have been divided into two groups with the Group A comprising of Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Karachi Blues, Lahore Blues, Larkana, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Sialkot.

The Group A matches will take place at Sheikhupura Cricket Stadium, Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan Cricket Academy, Sheikhupura and Lahore Country Club, Muridke Ground 1 & 2.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Bahawalpur, Dera Murad Jamali, FATA, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi Whites, Lahore Whites, and Rawalpindi make up Group B.

The Group B matches have been scheduled to take place in Peshawar’s Hayatabad Sports Complex, Mir Awais Cricket Ground and Shama Cricket Ground and Ishfaq Cricket Ground in Charsadda.

Each team will play eight matches in their respective group before the two table toppers from each group will face off in the 14 October final.

Lahore, 21 September 2025: The opening round of the National Men’s U19 One-Day Cup 2025-26 produced emphatic performances across both groups, with Lahore Region Whites, Bahawalpur Region, Rawalpindi Region, Peshawar Region, Abbottabad Region, Faisalabad Region, Quetta Region and FATA all recording wins on the first day of action.

In Group A, Peshawar defeated Lahore Blues by 32 runs at RNCA Stadium, Sheikhupura. Zain Ullah’s unbeaten 82 and Ahmed Hussain’s 71 lifted Peshawar to 246 for five, before Muhammad Seyam’s three for 32 sealed the win as Lahore were bowled out for 214 in 48.3 overs despite Ali Hassan Baloch’s 81.

At Sheikhupura Cricket Stadium, Abbottabad chased 237 with authority to beat Multan by eight wickets, led by Uzair Ali’s unbeaten 114 and Muhammad Shayan’s 83 after Sadeeq Aman had taken three wickets.

At Lahore Country Club, Faisalabad defeated Sialkot by three wickets, chasing down 219-run target with Muhammad Daniyal’s unbeaten 71 proving decisive after Hayyam Khan’s 71 for Sialkot.

At the other game at Lahore Country Club, Larkana defended 145 to beat Quetta by 39 runs. Larkana’s Faisal Rehman picked up 4-21 in 10 overs.

In Group B, Lahore Whites began strongly with a 140-run win over AJK. Batting first, Lahore piled up 319 for five, courtesy of unbeaten knocks from Naveed Ayub (68 not out) and Husnain Abbas Dar (55 not out). In reply, AJK were restricted to 179 for eight as Saad Nadeem claimed four for 40.

Bahawalpur reaped a massive 203-run victory against Hyderabad, built around Waleed Iqbal’s superb 152 in a total of 318-7 in 50 overs. Salman Ahmed and Haseeb Ahmed then shared three wickets each to dismiss Hyderabad for 115 in 34 overs.

At Hayatabad Sports Complex, Rawalpindi Region outplayed Karachi Whites by 115 runs. Ali Mehdi’s 83 was the backbone of Rawalpindi’s 219 all out in 45.5 overs, before Hamaz Hussain Shah ripped through the Karachi batting with figures of five for 15 to bowl them out for 104.

Meanwhile at Mir Awais Stadium, Dera Murad Jamali were dismissed for just 22 in 10.4 overs against FATA. Muhammad Tahir took five wickets for four runs in two overs, while Taimoor Ali picked up four for four in 5.4 overs. FATA cruised to 23 without loss in only 1.5 overs to secure a 10-wicket win.

Second round of the tournament will be played on 23 September.

Ahmad Hussain's unbeaten century leads Peshawar to three-wicket win over Multan​


The fifth round of the National Men’s U19 One-Day Cup saw Abbottabad, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Peshawar emerge victorious in Group A, while Group B triumphant teams included Rawalpindi, FATA, Lahore Whites and Karachi Whites as the action unfolded in Sheikhupura, Muridke Peshawar and Charsadda.

Apart from Ahmad Hussain’s ton, Multan’s Sameer Minhas, Sialkot’s Ghulam Haider, Abbottabad’s Mohammad Shayan, Karachi Whites’ Abdul Sami and Lahore Whites’ Farhan yousuf struck centuries in the round.

Group A

Peshawar’s Ahmad Hussain struck a match-winning unbeaten century (120 not out, 103b, 15x4s) as they chased the 261-run target with six balls to spare and three wickets in hand against Multan at the Rana Naveed Cricket Academy Ground in Sheikhupura.

Ahmad walked in to bat at 44-3 before Peshawar slid to 147-7. From then on, the no.5 batter stitched a 114-run stand with Haroon Khan (32 not out, 38b, 3x4s, 1x6) to steer his team to victory.

Earlier, Multan posted 260-5 in their 50 overs on the back of Sameer Minhas’ (107, 119b, 14x4s) second consecutive century, while Ali Husnain Badshah (74, 83b, 7x4s, 2x6s) scored a half-century. The duo took their team from 75-2 to 214-3.

At the Lahore Country Club Ground #1 Muridke, Abbottabad’s Muhammad Shayan struck unbeaten 144 off 130 balls hitting 12 fours and one six against Karachi Blues to take his team to 266-6 in 50 overs with the next best score being 32 by Mamoon ul Rasheed.

In turn, Karachi Blues fell 123 runs short as they were bowled out for 143 in 39.2 overs with Abbottabad’s left-arm pacer Jalal taking 4-16 in 6.2 overs.

At the Lahore Country Club Ground 2 in Muridke, Faisalabad beat Larkana by four wickets as they chased the 136-run target in 37.1 overs as Muhammad Usman (35 not out, 66b, 2x4s) and Tawasal Abbas (32 not out, 44b, 1x4, 1x6) lifted the team from 85-6.

Earlier, Faisalabad’s left-arm wrist-spinner Momin Qamar picked up 4-20 in 4.4 overs to skittle Larkana for 135 in 35.4 overs as they slid from 91-2 to lose eight wickets for 44 runs.

Sialkot rode on no.4 batter Ghulam Haider’s century (124, 113b, 12x4s, 3x6s) to post 306-8 in 50 overs at the Sheikhupura Cricket Stadium. In turn, Quetta fell 111 runs short as they were dismissed for 195 in 47.2 overs with Sialkot’s leg-spinner Muhammad Tayyab accounting for 4-22 in 8.2 overs.

Group B

Lahore Whites registered a thumping 195-run win over Dera Murad Jamali at the Mir Awais Cricket Ground in Peshawar with the help of Farhan Yousuf’s 118-ball 134 inclusive of eight fours and six sixes.

Batting first, Whites slipped to 41-4 before Farhan and Naveed Ayub (77, 93b, 7x4s, 2x6s) stitched a 177-run stand to help their team post 291-9 in 50 overs. In turn, Whites’ pacers Abbas Khan (4-34), Hasnain Abbas Dar (3-13) and Muhammad Ayyas (3-46) combined to dismiss DM Jamali for 96 in 21 overs.

FATA bagged a six-wicket win over Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) at the Hayatabad Sports Complex in Peshawar as they chased the 159-run target in 31.4 overs as Haris Shah chipped in with a 72-ball 50 hitting five fours.

AJK folded for a mere 158 in 45.4 overs as FATA’s Naveed Khan picked up 3-35 in 10 overs, while Taimur Ali dismissed two batters for 29 runs in 9.4 overs.

Hyderabad were bundled out for 104 in 33.3 overs at the Shama Cricket Ground in Peshawar chasing 271-run target against Karachi Whites. For the Whites, right-arm leg-spinner Saad Sakhawat picked up 4-10 in six overs.

Earlier, Karachi Whites’ no.3 batter Abdul Sami scored a century hitting a run-a-ball 115 with the help of 17 fours and two sixes to lift his team to 270. He shared a 133-run third-wicket with Huzaifa Ahsan (53, 69b, 6x4s).

Rawalpindi got the better of Islamabad by 48 runs at the Ishfaq Cricket Ground in Charsadda as they successfully defended the 237-run total. Islamabad slipped from 110-4 to 189 all out as they lost six wickets for 79 runs with no.3 batter Awais Ahmed top-scoring with 75 off 87 balls hitting five fours and three sixes. Rawalpindi’s pacers Husnain Ali and Malik Muhammad Haider picked up three wickets each.

Earlier, Rawalpindi were helped to a fighting total by half-centuries from Muhammad Ziyan (57, 49b, 11x4s) and Abdul Qadir (55, 44b, 6x4s, 3x6s). Islamabad’s Awais Ameen returned figures of 10-1-29-4.

The sixth round will take place on Friday, 3 October at the same venues.

Lahore, 3 October 2025: The sixth round of the National U19 Cup was played today across venues in Charsadda, Muridke, Sheikhupura and Peshawar. The highlight of the round was Lahore Blues’ Ali Hassan Baloch’s third century, which helped his side to a 92-run win over Karachi Blues.

Group A

In Group A fixtures, Multan edged past Larkana by three runs in a thrilling contest at Lahore Country Club Ground No.1 in Muridke. Batting first, Multan posted 207 for eight in 50 overs on the back of Ali Husnain’s 54, Mohammad Ahmed’s 41 and an unbeaten 32 from Sohaib Akram.

For Larkana, Ihsan Ali picked three wickets for 41 runs. In turn, Sami ur Rehman’s 73 kept Larkana in the chase, but Multan bowlers held their nerve to restrict them to 204 for nine. Mohammad Ahmed (3-31) and Sohaib Akram (3-45) shared six wickets between them.

At Sheikhupura Cricket Stadium, Lahore Blues batting first scored 304 for six in 50 overs courtesy Ali Hassan Baloch’s 108 and Jahangir Bilal 90. For Karachi Blues, Ayan Saleem bagged five wickets for 42. In turn, Karachi Blues were bundled out for 209 in 43.3 overs with Abdullah Waheed contributing 53 runs with the bat. For Lahore Blues’ Ali Hassan and Ibtisam Azhar bagged two wickets each.

Faisalabad registered a five-wicket win over Quetta in a low-scoring encounter at Lahore Country Club Ground No.2 in Muridke. Quetta were dismissed for 48 in 22 overs, with only Mohammad Rashid (14) reaching double figures. Momin Qamar returned figures of six for three, while Abdul Habib picked two for 10. Faisalabad achieved the target in 12.2 overs, finishing at 49 for five, with Farrukh Bashir contributing 20 runs.

At Rana Naveed Cricket Academy in Sheikhupura, Abbottabad pulled off a thrilling one-wicket win over Peshawar. Batting first, Peshawar scored 202 in 47.2 overs, built around Ahmed Hussain’s 100 and Muhammad Hussain’s 63. Umar Zaib (three for 21) and Abbas Amir (two for 40) led Abbottabad’s bowling effort.

In run-chase, Abbottabad reached 203 for nine in 45.5 overs, with Mohammad Shayan anchoring with 59. Mohammad Seyam and Hasan Ahmed picked up two wickets apiece for Peshawar.

Group B

In Group B, Rawalpindi defeated Hyderabad by five wickets at Shama Cricket Ground in Peshawar. Hyderabad were dismissed for 96 in 29.1 overs, as Mir Hamza returned five wickets for 11 runs and Mohammad Hassan picked three for 27.

In turn, Rawalpindi achieved the target in 14.3 overs, losing five wickets in the process, with Abdul Qadir returning unbeaten on 50. Mohammad Salman Khan took three wickets for Hyderabad.

At Mirwais Cricket Ground in Peshawar, AJK defeated DMJ by 38 runs. AJK were dismissed for 217 in 49.3 overs, with Bilal Waheed (51) and Zain Jameel (44) making valuable contributions. Mohammad Hassan took three wickets for 50. In response, DMJ were bowled out for 179 in 46.4 overs. Gohar Rehman top-scored with 39, while Zeeshan Dawood starred with four for 24.

Rawalpindi overcame Hyderabad by five wickets at Shama Cricket Ground in Peshawar. Hyderabad were skittled for 96 in 29.1 overs, courtesy Mir Hamza’s five for 11 and Mohammad Hassan’s three for 27. Abdul Qadir’s unbeaten 50 steered Rawalpindi to 99 for five in 14.3 overs despite Mohammad Salman Khan’s three for 22.

At Ashfaq Cricket Ground in Charsadda, Karachi Whites overcame Lahore Whites by four wickets. Batting first, Lahore Whites were bowled out for 215 in 49.5 overs. Husnain Abbas top-scored with 32, while Asad Umar (4-33) and Huzaif Ahsan (4-41) shared eight wickets between them.

In reply, Karachi Whites achieved the target in 47.2 overs losing six wickets in the process. Saad Sakhawat made an unbeaten 40, while Naveed Ayub and Abbas Khan took two wickets each.

The seventh round of the tournament will take place on Monday, 6 October.

Update on National U19 Cup Seventh Round – 6 October, 2025

Toss at all eight venues delayed due to rain
 
Lahore, 6 October 2025: The seventh round of the National U19 Cup saw only two Group B fixtures unfold as rains across other venues led to the abandonment of six matches without the toss taking place on Monday, 6 October

The penultimate and eighth round of the tournament has been rescheduled to take place on Thursday, 9 October instead of Wednesday, 8 October due to inclement weather.

At the Shama Cricket Ground in Peshawar, Karachi Whites romped to a seven-wicket victory over Islamabad as they overcame the 90-run target in 12 overs. Earlier, Niqab Shafiq and Azman Hussain’s three strikes each with the ball bundled out Islamabad for a mere 89 in 19.2 overs.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir overcame Hyderabad in a last-over chase as they surmounted the 171-run target with five balls to spare in a rain-hit 25-over game.

Vital contributions from AJK’s Uzair Naveed (52, 45b, 2x4s, 1x6), Ahmad Raza (48, 53b, 2x4s, 1x6) and Bilal Waheed (39, 23b, 5x4s, 2x6s) helped their team get over the line from being 57-3 at one point.

Welll i have been scrolling up and see someone called ahmad baloch has made 3 centuries so far for lahore blues so thats some consistency at this level plus he has been taking wickets. Mohammed Qamar been amongst wickets too i think he is another chinaman

Update on National U19 One-Day Cup 2025-26 - Last round

Four Group A matches of the ongoing National U19 One-Day Cup scheduled to take place on Saturday, 11 October in Muridke and Sheikhupura have been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

The other four matches in Group B will take place as per schedule on Saturday in Charsadda and Peshawar.

The revised schedule of the last round Group A fixtures and the date for the subsequent final between the toppers of both groups will be announced in due course.

Rawalpindi qualify for final of National U19 Cup​


Rawalpindi region have qualified for the final of the National U19 Cup after topping Group ‘B’ at the conclusion of the ninth round of the tournament today. Rawalpindi remained unbeaten in the event, securing 15 points after winning seven of their eight fixtures, with one match abandoned due to rain.

Rawalpindi’s opponents for the final will be confirmed after the completion of the ninth-round fixtures of Group ‘A’, which could not take place today due to unavoidable circumstances. A revised schedule will be announced in due course.

In Group B match at Shama Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur defeated DMJ by 85 runs. Ziyan Jibran’s 59 and Haseeb Ahmad’s 43 guided Bahawalpur to 267 in 48.4 overs. In reply, DMJ were bowled out for 182 in 40.3 overs despite Mohammad Zubair’s 69, with four Bahawalpur bowlers taking two wickets apiece.

Hyderabad overcame Islamabad by 73 runs at Mirwais Cricket Ground. Mohammad Rohan Khan top-scored with 79 to lift Hyderabad to 233. In turn, Islamabad managed 160 as Nameer Shaikh (4-18) and Abdul Wahab (3-31) shared seven wickets.

At Hayatabad Sports Complex, Karachi Whites defeated AJK by 55 runs. Karachi Whites were bowled out for 205 before restricting AJK to 150 in 45.2 overs. Huzaifa Ahsan (108, 2-31) impressed with both bat and ball, while Niqaq Shafiq chipped in with 2-23.

FATA recorded a 41-run win over Lahore Whites at Ashfaq Ahmed Ground in Charsadda. Mohammad Abbas Afridi struck a commanding 118 to help FATA reach 256. Lahore Whites were dismissed for 215 in 46.4 overs, with Mohammad Tahir taking three wickets, while Jamshidullah grabbing two wickets.
