Naya Pakistan?: PTI MNA calls for Mumtaz Qadri's release

A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA called for the release of Malik Mumtaz Qadri, the man who gunned down Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer in 2011.
PTI MNA from Mardan, Mujahid Ali Khan made the demand during a debate on the budget in the National Assembly.
Khan had won the NA-11 seat in the May 11 elections.
Another PTI MNA Arif Alvi clarified that Khan had made this demand in his personal capacity, and this had nothing to do with the party.

has IK made any comment on this yet? There were already many murmurs that IK isn't as liberal and anti-ultra-conservative-religious person as he is projected as.. if he does't come out and condemn this stmt, things aren't gonna get any better..

1. PTI has full confidence/belief in the upholding of the law of Pakistan
2. The future of Mumtaz Qadri (the murder) is in the hands of the courts of Pakistan
3. Only the law can decide what happens to anyone who is on trial, be it for murder or whatever
4. PTI's policy in this regards is clear
5. The statement of the MNA (Mujahid Ali) is HIS OWN PERSONAL point of view and NOT the official policy of PTI

Well, sadly PTI can't control all its individuals and the abyss of their personal opinions, like when Rana Sanaullah prostitute his image with Punjabi Talibans, of course the moral responsibilities shouldn't be put on such enlightened, progressive and national party as PML-N.

While talking to The Express Tribune via phone, he said our society has become polarised. It is highly condemnable that everyone fulfills their wishes as they see fit, he said. “Elements like Qadri are under the impression that Islam is under threat and act accordingly,” he added.

“Salmaan Taseer never demanded that the blasphemy laws be repealed; rather he spoke against their misuse. He was gunned down because of the misperception that he is anti-Islamic and anti-blasphemy laws,” Imran Khan said

Anti-Islamic perceptions developed after the war on terror by USA, he said, adding that suicide attacks against the government occur because of polarisation in society which has fostered the thought that the government is working with the US and is anti-Islam.

He said tribal elders and ANP leaders, who announced their support for Pakistan, have also been blown-up in suicide attacks since they too were perceived as anti-Islam. Due to polarisation in society, people like Faisal Shahzad have attacked the US since they view America’s war on terror as a threat to Islam.

The government is perceived as a puppet being run by anti-Islamic forces, the PTI chief said. A credible government is essential in order to eradicate radicalisation and extremism. The government will stop being perceived as anti-Islamic if the war on terror would end, he added.

Qadri’s action has created fear in society, Khan said, adding that Qadri should have followed the law but since he did not, he should be treated like any other murderer.

But thats still besides the point isnt it. MQM isnt part of the discussioon even remotely so bringing them even makes you look clueless at best

This is similar to what Imran Khan says that when he was in parliament b/w 2002 to 2006, if one party accused other of corruption, the other party didnt fight the claims but accused the first one of even more corruption. This is what is going on here. PTI doesnt need to go that route.
