dear bros,

i had to take a leave for one day for some urgent work or emergency from my office, this is my new job, so i really dont know what to write and what to say in the letter, the thing is this letter is not about my upcomig leave, this is about the leave i already took today without informing them, so i need to write an application or letter for a leave that i took.

my english isnt much good to write an official letter with this context. will someone plz provide me or write me a sample here, so i will copy it and change the title and name etc.

i tried to find on google but it only shows the sample of the upcoming leaves, nothing about the leaves the one had to take.

plz help me. i dont want to get fired.

mods plz stick this thread for atleast 2 days, thanks

one more thing, i need to write down it in 4 hours, plz suggest me some samples asap. thanks

Dear (Manager's name)

I write this letter to inform you of my unannounced absence on (date of absence). The absence was due to an emergency of personal nature in my life that I had to urgently attend to, this led to my unavailability from the office on the date mentioned above.

I am deeply apologetic of the inconvenience caused and will work to make up the lost hours in the rest of the week.

Best Regards,

Thank you very much buddy, thanks a thousand, thanks alot. i am greattfull to your reply brother.

if someone wants to suggest more samples. they are also welcome.

NOT informing your employer of leave is a blunder bro. Im not sure what a letter will achieve. Why not call them?

Need to provide more details of the emergency. Not necessarily in this letter. But you will need to do so at some point. Perhaps offer to do so verbally, in private, if it's something that you don't wish to write down. And of course some sort of proof to back it up.

Else it will simply be a made up fairy tale from your managers point of view, to create an excuse for your unauthorised absence
