I just can't bat to save my life. I've been playing cricket for quite some time now but every time in a match I hardly make any runs and get out pretty quick. Could anyone help or give me some tips?

When I play hard ball cricket I tend to get scared of the ball and don't hit much. How can I improve this? Also I can't play fast bowling very well and I get caught by WK and slips a lot.

Well I can't really tell what the problem is with this detail. You either have to post a video or specifically explain. But some things you can try:

- Make your stance fully side-on so there is less of your body the bowler can target
- Get deeper in your crease to give yourself more time
- Keep your head still as possible when the ball is being delivered
- Pick up length from the bowler's hand and not off the pitch. This is crucial if you want to give yourself more time, it takes practice
- If you're being beat by yorkers/full length deliveries, lower your backlift
- If you're being beat by bouncers/short length, raise your backlift
- Stop being a sissy and take a few hits. You can pad up your whole body if you're that scared, start lifting weights to your body stronger

The only way you're going to learn to play fast bowling is by constantly practicing against fast bowling. Man up.

That is the issue. You are very defensive and you just wan't the ball coming at you. The more you practice, the less scared you will be. As times go on, you will start adjusting your feet, hands and head position to play better cricket. If you continue to be scared, you'll be just stuck in fear of getting hit.

Thank you :)

You should continuously keep your head as straight as possible when facing the bowlers
When I first started playing club cricket, I had the same issue, however I followed these tips and am now great against fast bowling.
-If your club has a bowling machine, the set the speed to max and take a few deliveries to get used to the pace
-Make your action more side on and stand with your feet as wide as your shoulders so you are balanced and stable.
-Don't be defensive and stay on your front foot, when standing at the crease, spread your weight evenly on both feet so you're ready for full and short deliveries.
-Pad up and man up (bulldog sports moto), wear chest and elbow guards. Even after years of playing cricket at district level with bowlers (including me) hitting 140kph+ I still wear chest and elbow guards.
