Netflix Originals, TV shows and Movies

Anyone seen the Korean 'All of us are dead' ?

Some reports suggesting its better than Squid game.

Am in the middle of Archive 81 which is decent with a fresh execution of a plot revolving around the occult but I watched a couple of episodes of that Korean Zombie show, it doesn’t reinvent the classic horror tropes but it’s very engaging, well made so far and am not sure if I’ve seen a school being used as a setting before which makes for some creative opportunities and action, was watching it with an elderly fam member who seemed to enjoy it to lol

Am hyped for the History Channel’s Vikings Spinoff which has been bough by Netflix and due to release end of the month

Ill give Archive 81 a go now.

Looking forward to the Vikings spin off too. The original series was a classic esp when Ragner was around.

Watched The Tinder Swindler

A group of women who were the victims of a dating app based swindler join together in an attempt to hunt him down and recover the millions of dollars that were stolen from them.

Very interesting watch this.

Haven't seen the movie... if it's the same story as the tv show then I'm gonna avoid it :)

Archive 81 is now next on my watch list

Watched Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator

This documentary charts the rise and fall of hot yoga founder Bikram Choudhury as his global empire is born and disturbing revelations come to light.

A good watch.

Here is my quarantine watch:

After Life: Excellent mix of emotions, Ricky Gervais writes and stars in this series, played it very well.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window: Horrible, I skipped through the episodes.

Crime Stories: India Detectives: 4 Episodes totaling up to a great series, amazed to see the approach to a case by those female sub-inspectors.

All of us are dead: amazing zombie thriller, lots going on still very well directed to keep every character prominent. Both ends good and the bad held it up and highlighted emotions like friendship, parenthood, and love interests.
12 Brilliant episodes, enjoyed them more than squid game and hellbound.

Newtons Cradle - Egytian Series on Netflix

Anyone watching it, very good drama. I got hooked on to it, and its 30 episode long

I watch Indian series too and this beats many of the current ones

Currently watching - Inventing Anna

Audacious entrepreneur or con artist? A journalist chases down the story of Anna Delvey, who convinced New York's elite she was a German heiress.

It's inspired by the story of Anna Sorokin and the article in New York titled "How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People"

ok so far.

There are a few things i want to watch, I recently seen Ozark and The tinder swindler both very good...apparently there are more episodes of ozark to come at the end of the year.

Started watching Senzo: Murder of a Soccer Star .

The thrilling five-part true crime documentary series delves into the beloved soccer star’s murder, sharing insight into what transpired that fateful night when Meyiwa was gunned down.

For those that watched The Staircase on Netflix.

There's a remake for Sky Atlantic.

Looking forward to watching it.

The Staircase documentary was very very good.

The Staircase documentary was very very good.

I've just watched the first episode - pretty good so far.

Watched the first 3 seasons of Better Call Saul a while back and really enjoyed it. Now I'm hearing from friends that seasons 4 & 5 are absolutely fantastic, so very soon I'll get back into it.

Barely remember a thing that happened from what I watched, so will have to do a bit of pre reading before watching.

Daredevil is still my favourite show ever on Netflix, haven't seen anything better it.

Arrested development - which was a fun watch as well.

The skater girl is somewhat a real story , the rural girl was Asha and she even featured in Delhi Capital(IPL) ‘s promo video as well .

Recently watched The Lincoln Lawyer. Manual Rulfo’s acting was pretty good.

And Becki Newton looked attractive.

Started watching Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey

Very interesting this - This docuseries examines the rise of Warren Jeffs in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and his shocking criminal case.

I've just watched the first episode - pretty good so far.

What did you think of the ending?
I though they made the character a lot less likeable and in the end pretty ruthless.
I wonder how the real Michael will see it? I'd be pretty angry if it was me and I knew I was innocent

The Hustle, with Adam Sandler.

Super movie. Even if you are not into Basketball, this movie is brilliant.

Cannot see Adam Sandler doing comedy roles going forward.

Watched three episodes of Midnight Mass.

The latest Mike Flanagan miniseries.

I liked his previous two. This one is a bit different in that moves away from the “haunted house / family drama” scenario to something more deep and layered. Each episode is named after a key book from the Bible and has a cold open.

Solid acting performances, lots of cross-cultural and religious tension, and the script comes across as very well read and researched in terms of the history, teachings, and literature of Catholicism.

Enjoying it so far.

Just finished watching season 5 of "the last kingdom." Can't believe I hadn't stumbled upon it before. An absolute gem of a show and for me it's even better than the Vikings. Highly recommend!

Loved it. It’s s slow burner but don’t give up on it. The ending is wild.

Faded away.

Had potential, but then it just became boring and lacking any direction.

Season 1 was just about watchable, season 2 was a disaster.

Watched Welcome to Eden

It tells the story of four teens invited to an exclusive party on a secret desert island, thrown by a new drink brand. Except while there, things take a turn and before they know it the group are embroiled in the secrets and lies of a hidden and dangerous community.

The trailer looked good and it started well.

But then it just became really weird and boring.

Better Call Saul is back.

It’s getting better and better every week.

Kota factory S2, not even close to S1.

Peaky Blinders S6.. better than S4,5 but has just become monotonous on certain aspects now.

US streaming service Netflix has revealed that it lost almost a million subscribers during the past three months of its financial year as the global cost of living crisis takes its toll on family entertainment budgets.

The company reported that it had 970,000 fewer customers in the period, having warned in April that the number could extend to two million as a series of challenges face the business.

However, it said that it was forecasting a return to subscriber growth in the current quarter.

That effort would be aided from next year, Netflix said, through the launch of a new cheaper service that would be supported by adverts and through new multi-household contracts.

The earnings report covering the second quarter to the end of June was eagerly awaited by investors after a bloodbath for its stock when it reported a shock decline - the first for a decade - in its subscriber base between January and March.

Customer numbers fell then by 200,000 when a surge of 2.5 million new customers had been anticipated by the company.

That’s not even the truth, with those ridiculous prices that keep going up and having hardly 5-10 shows an year worth the watch, quality downfall not sure how Netflix thought other things are an issue.

The only thing good about Netflix right now is the quality of the software, it’s still ahead of others but if it doesn’t get it’s quality of shows up it might as well keep falling.

Finished upshaws not long ago. Was a really funny show. It was a family show done right by netflix, mike epps and his cast were brilliant.

Currently on season 2 of space force.

Finished Space force season a good watch indeed, enjoyed it a lot. I also watched a couple of katt williams netflix stand up as well.

Now will either watch Peaky Blinders to catch up on the season I missed or start on Wu Assassins, a show I have been always putting on hold to watch, I have some episodes left of Titans as well, I guess I will go by mood this weekend, and pick one of these 3 shows haha

Did you try Arcane , recommend that as well if you can take animation.

Loved season 4 of stranger things... Damn i said now after ending it.

Wu Assassins just finished it, wished I watched it earlier but a great watch indeed :) I will still hold off peaky blinders season 6. Will finish Titans and also started on Cowboy Bepop ( the anime)

Indian Predator, Butcher of Delhi

8/10

Good watch. Sent chills down my spine to know that most of the dead bodies were thrown by the lunatic very close to where I live.

Darlings

8/10

Great watch. Alia, Shefali & Vijay, all 3 of them were top notch as always.

So was suppose to finish up Titans, and remembered I never watched Season 6 Of Jojo Bizzare Adventure Stone Ocean (Netflix version) it was only 12 episodes and Glad I did end up watching, I feel they will make another season if they do will look forward too it.

I will still put Titans on Hold, I had a friend suggest to Watch After Life, So I will be starting that show.

Quibi has been releasing tv series in 7-10 min episode comprising of 10 episodes. Basically it's usually a movie that's divided in 10 short episodes. So the entire length of one season becomes something like 1 hour and 40 mins similar to a regular movie.

Found out about this format when i stumbled on to Kevin Hart's Die Hart.

Watched a few more series/movies of Quibi.

The Stranger starring Maika Monroe and Dane DeHaan. A slasher/thriller about a killer on the loose chasing a random girl. Nicely made and good time pass.

Then comes my favorite, When The Streetlights Go On. Brilliantly made. Extremely raw and tender storytelling about the situation of a town following a murder of a teen girl and her teacher and what happens afterwards. The ending was very abrupt but rarely have i been touched by a story like it evoked the emotions out of you.

Finished After Life, and ricky gervais and the whole cast is brilliant. I would recommend anyone to watch it, sad show, since the story revolves around a man who hates life and everything around him, since his wife died from cancer. The story progresses with how he copes with it, their is humor in the show as well, and their is only 3 seasons with about 6 episodes a season. I would recommend anyone to watch it.

Also watched superbro (not a netflix show) but really silly and funny its from Australia.

I might start watching the netflix show called MO, or get started on Tekken Bloodline Anime.

Finished the following

Superbro - Aussie comedy show, pretty funny, it is silly, so it might not be for everyone but I enjoyed it.

Stateless- Another Aussie, show, which is based on true events, and a must watch, its very sad as well, but its only 6 episodes, so its not a long show. Based on refugees in Australia.

MO- a funny comedy show, featuring stand-up comedian MO Ameer. Another show that is not long only 8 episodes, and a show I think most people can enjoy.

Just watched I Am a Killer, Season 3.

Absolutely brilliant just like the previous seasons.

Started watching The Most Hated Man on the Internet.

A 2022 American three-part Netflix docuseries that covers the story of Hunter Moore and his website Is Anyone Up?, a site based on stolen and hacked photos, and the struggle to take the website down.

Crazy stuff.

An absolute hype machine with little to no or new content. Leeched AMC for
BTC, only thing of note

growing up in the 90s, ( here in Canada) or even in north America in general, saturday mornings, were meant to watch cartoons, which would have these wacky host, and segments, before each cartoon would starts (Netflixs Saturday Morning All Star Hits ) or SMASH is exactly that.

I watches all 8 shows and really enjoyed it. They make parody of famous shows and movies, and basically anything 90s related.

If you grew up in North America in the 90s as a kid, I would recommend to watch this. If you did not, it wont be your cup of tea. It is really goofy I must say but brought back great memories haha :)

Started watching Queen of the South.

Recommended to me by quite a few people.

Looks good so far.

Teresa flees to the United States after her drug-peddling boyfriend is murdered by a cartel boss. There, she sets out to become a drug lord and vows to avenge her lover's death.

Looking forward to watching Dahmer which has been released today.

Dahmer is the best thing I have seen on Netflix for a long time.

Chilling, brilliantly made and superb acting.

8.5/10 on IMDb

Do we really need another depiction of Dahmer on our screens?

Started watching The Midnight Club

The Midnight Club follows a group of eight terminally ill patients at Brightcliffe Hospice, who begin to gather together at midnight to share scary stories.

Pretty good so far.

Faded away after a good start.

Became rather dull and boring.

The Watcher

A family moves into their dream home, only to be plagued by ominous letters, strange neighbours and sinister threats.

So far quite interesting.

Will started watching Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. Just dropped 2 days ago.

Recently watched

Gangs of london (season 2)
Slow Horses (season 1)
Barbarians (season 2)

all really good.

One of my good friends have told me about this show, I have not seen it yet, but heard good things about it.

Started watching unlisted, a pretty good Australian show, but was thinking it would be better to be honest, still a good watch.

Looking forward to Blockbuster (netflix series) its suppose to start on Nov 3rd here in Canada.

Also need to continue Jojo Bizarre Adventure (Netflix season 5) had added more episodes a while back have not watched will try to catch up on that.

Watched 28 Days Haunted

Three teams each spend 28 days in some of America's most haunted locations for a paranormal experiment based on the theories of Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Can't work out if it was real or fake.

Interesting though.
