As technologies improve , there are certain aspects of cricket which can be recorded as stats and can be used to gauge the ability of that player. Some of them I find interesting are

1) Speed of the delivery.
2) Revolutions per minute for a spinner
3) Degree of seam movement etc.

Any other aspects ?

Hitting power.

Similar how they have punching bags that boxers can punch to get a numerical representation of their "punching power"

It would be interesting to know a numerical value between gayle, warner, etc... with the least amount of variables possible (i.e. speed of the bowler, pitch condition, etc...)

Would be great (if possible) if timing of the shots could be measured in a way, from 0 to 100% as this is always easy to see from the default camera view live and replays as well.

Also like in football would be good to see how much ground the fielders are making in km, so we can see which of the boundary riders are being made to do the most work out there and thus infer where the batsman are playing their shots.

More comprehensive fielding stats like runs saved, run outs affected, direct hits etc. They can divide them based on fielding positions as well.

An average of running speed or acceleration off the blocks for both batsmen and fielders.

Live graphic of the field positions set by the captain just like how it is showed in the cricket games

A famous website have come up with some interesting derived stats to better quantify the value of runs (soft vs hard runs), consistency of batsman, and even some stats suited specifically to T20's (Smart Strike Rate for one was interesting). Guys should have a look! I know it's slightly different from what you were referring to but wanted to put it out there.

Quoting this post because StarSports did show the speed at which Rahane and D'arcy Short ran between the wickets during the runouts.

This.

I made a thread on it last year. This HAS to be incorporated into the game. It tells you the real value of a player.

Would the pace of a delivery after pitching helps in distinguishing bowlers like 'hit the deck' , 'skiddy' etc. ?

This is far more relevant than stuff like revolutions or exact power of a hit.

This tells you something about which player is doing a good or bad job.

Stuff like revolutions on ball or power of shot etc are just for casual fans.

Statistical data should cater to casual fans as well. Some of the data they show , like projected score are of no use in my opinion . But revolution , power etc can be exciting .

There was some data on win probability shown in the past, but it was pretty useless.

There could be a form meter based on how the player has been performing in the last few games

I want stats to measure how batsmen build their innings. Quarterly strike rates (SR off first 25 balls, second 25 balls etc). Current odi batting records make it difficult to assess similar players with similar strike rates and batting averages: even though one batsman might play a decent clip throughout and keep his team in the game whereas the other batsman simply absorbs a lot of deliveries upfront and accelerates in the end which gives him a decent score, but not his team.
