Amazon Prime has documented footages from the last Ashes.

There is one similar series of Tottenham Hotspurs as well showing how Jose Morinho leads his group.

Quite fascinating to watch actually. Pure theatrical stuff.

Makes me wonder of boards representing desi people could also allow something like that on Netflix, Prime. Surely it would sell like hot cakes.

Only issue is, us desi people are either too boring in front of camera or overly dramatic :))
 
MI did something similar but they were focused more on the owners, the tournament than the actual dressing room and the players were kinda reserved

so it was kinda boring :rahat
 
It surely would give competition to some dramatic shows if everything is realistically captured with plans to dethrone captains, player saying I wont play, other player asking why I am not playing, players hitting each other with bats etc. It has the potential to revolutionize the cricketing world.

You can find on youtube a documentary on the dressing room of Pakistan with Waseem and co.
 
Our dressing room should come with a 'Mute the Shastri' feature.

I don't like the idea of filming what happens inside dressing room. There should be a level of privacy.

It's a pity PCB media department has been so inept. Forget Australia, what about our redemption story from the 2009 Lahore attack, being exiled in the UAE, reaching #1 in Test rankings and winning the 2017 Champions Trophy ?

It's not just a compelling cricket story but a human story. How could that story not be documented and told to the world ?
 
I doubt CA just gave the producers free reign to show whatever they wanted. I'm sure multiple people at CA would've watched the finished product before it was released to make sure nothing they wouldn't want the public to know was revealed.

True. The way pakistan came out from that phase was just admirable.

And it wasnt just the 2009 attacks, there was that younis khan fiasco, ijaz butt banning younis khan and yousuf. Kamran akmal losing the sydney test. The sos being sent to sarfraz to come save us.
Misbah strolling around like escobar in his lawn and deciding to burn his kit.

Than the butt and co fiasco.

They should start the series with heavy rain pouring at PCB hq at gaddafi, and intikhar alab with a cigar in his mouth worried while consulting his trusted aides who to make captain. Than as his blows his cigar off the name misbah pops up in his head. Next thing you know he asks subhan to dial a number and ask the guy to meet him the same night as its 12 o clock and no media wala would have his eyes on pcb hq.

And so misbah ul haq comes but his meeting isnt in the chairmans office but in a small room that has little table for a clerk to do his clerical work under a dimly lit light.

Rest is history after that

Definitely. In fact England’s short documentaries on Pakistan during breaks in the Test series were fantastic. I’m sure the PCB media dept was watching closely and hopefully with a sense of humility

There's a good opportunity to milk some money as well through this sort of exclusive OTT content. Like I said, there will be no dearth of viewership.

This is the future of entertainment.

Man, this is geniunely such a propoganda filled post. Will this documentary show Misbah ******** act in 2011 WC, the test that was lost against zimbabve, the ineptness of having YK open for Pakistan in a WC, and getting thrashed in a CT with Misbah and co. getting abused brutally on the street?

The only resurgence was under Mickey, Inzimam, Sarfraz and Najam Sethi. PSL, CT win, Test number 1 ranking, T20I number one ranking. Hell the 2019 WC was miles better than 2015 WC and the CT under Misbah.

Misbah would rather be the Bahadur Shah Zaffar of this documentary - an incompetent docile man, absolutely useless.
 
I have not even added Misbah's prodigy Azhar's achievement. That would even add more flavor to the documentary, getting whitewashed against Bangladesh. At par at losing a test against Ximbabve. Champions of leading Pakistan at their worst.

nah it was low key trash
the owners were annoying making the team do some silly rituals like KG kids and than acting like melodramatic teenagers when the team loses

Rohit was the only adult in the group and Mahela is kind of an a**** but in a way that coaches are suppose to be

And they barely focused on the team because most of the time they just talked about the owners or the IPL

Do you guys not remember the Yasir Shah-Younus Khan video from a few weeks ago? or some of the footage from the PSL?

Do you all remember we had threads about that here with people over reacting? Now imagine the furor it would cause here and in the over-reactionary Pakistani media/whatsapp community if stuff that happens behind the doors comes to light?

It is best left behind the doors for Pakistani cricket.

This requires an ability to take criticism and move on - in Pakistan this culture does not exist and you could have players becoming lifelong enemies in public with this.

I want to see the dressing room environment when India were losing to NZ in world cup semi final. It was very intense.
