Root is another Kohli in ODIs. Incredible consistency.
lol, not even close.

Kohli would have butchered us once set.

Frankly, it's disrespectful to compare the two.

Root out again after scoring a 50

Seriously, cant recall when was the last time Root scored a century in any format away from home.:root

Get the feeling we'll be chasing 280+, probably more if Buttler sticks around.

He has incredible power.

300+ is on, we need wickets or England will score a big score here.

That's probably the 4th or 5th dropped catch this match....

Good score from England, it's going to take some chasing.

Brilliant bowling by NZ in last 10 overs didn't allow buttler to score freely.
important for England to get Munro & guptill early.

Williamson gets bogged down quite easily. He shouldnt even be considered top batsman in LOIs. He is great in test but very poor in Odis/T20Is.

Credit to Willey. I think he is emerging as a world class bowler. Underrated player.

Teams have worked him out and his easy single to third man has been cut down. He hasn't found a way to bat without and hence why he's struggled in all formats.

Latham at times looks a far fluid ODI batsmen than Kane. Never understood why he couldn't find some consistency.

Unpopular opinion - Taylor is our second best ODI batsmen behind Guptill.

Good partnership but still 112 needed from 95 balls. Could be a close game.

There's not much else after this tbh, these two have to get NZ within 40 runs to win.

Wouldn't trust Nicolls or CdG to win, CdG is decent but very inconsistent.

Thats why both of these 2 went missing in the whole of ct.
guptill cant even hold a bat outside nz
Guptill has 2 100s in England, 1 in Aus and 1 in SA.

Taylor is probably the other batsmen who is capable of winning matches for us.

I never said we were great, but those two are our best without question IMO.

Taylor - "C'mon bro" :))

Love watching Taylor bat when he's in form.

England need Stokes because he makes things happen.

Are you really going to credit Stokes for that? CdG never looked good and was bound to get out eventually, he's a hit and miss player. Stokes was simply the beneficiary.

This match would have been won if we didn't keep picking duds like Nicols.

Need to pick a good no.6. Isn't there any option available?

Top5 is good, nothing exceptional but still very good.

Stokes bowling control is still 50:50.
& Tendency to bowl down the the leg is permanent with the him.

Stokes has the same knack as Botham and Flintoff - when he is at the wicket, something happens. It’s not always a good thing that happens, but sometimes it is a good or a great thing!!

Remember that a lot of Botham’s wickets came from his “worst” bowling. His best bowling would tend to be too fast, too tricky and beat the bat.

Oh aye, I lost count of the number of batters who holed out hooking slow Botham bouncers that deserved to go into the stands.

Rashid wins the match.

Awesome knock from Taylor nonetheless.

Taylor is a gun ODI batsman. Any team would love to have somebody lile Taylor. Pure class in ODIs.

Kane Williamson is very overrated in ODIs honestly. I will retract my statement of him being better than Smith. Not Williamson is inconsistent but also lacks impact. Taylor can play memorable innings once in a while despite his low strike rate. Williamson is just there.

Santner may not be a star player, but he's still one of my favorite players to watch.

A really smart bowler who is great to watch and on occasion can do this with the bat.

Woaah! Stopped watching the match after Taylor's wicket.

Incredible from Santner. He was 3 off 9 balls at one time.

Superb match. Absolutely thriller!

Love these types of games.

Sick of the 300 v 300 games.

England should trust willey to bowl at least 1 over in death.he could have been tried instead of giving rashid 1 more over.
Willey hardly finish his 10 overs in every match & that is why he is not permanent in playing 11.

Poor captaincy from Morgan. Pretty silly bowling a leg spinner to a left hander at the death. Cracking game of cricket though.

Fair enough, he does seem to have the golden arm and can take wickets when England need it.

I think It will be close series like 3-2 OR 2-3.
Root needs become selfish now and put price on his wicket to get 100s and provide foundation for hitters to come.

From England root was most suitable batsman for this pitch but as we have seen lots of time root looses concentration and gets out playing soft shots.

Woke up in the middle of night and saw NZ struggling in chase. Went back to bed and found out they won. Seemed like it was a great match
