He's taken 3 and there are two wickets left. If he takes a 5-fer trust Misbah to completely lose all rationality and play him as the second name on the team sheet. The first being Iftikhar of course.

The problem is that Faheem doesn't deserve a spot in any format. And I doubt Amad is also good enough. He can't play as the fifth bowler as his batting is not good enough for it. Don't know how he cn settle in the team.

New Zealand A has taken a slender 32-run lead at Whangarei's Cobham Oval after wicketkeeper-batsman Cam Fletcher (57) and Ed Nuttall (14 not out in two hours) combined in a 76-run stand for the ninth wicket that erased the hosts' deficit.

Earlier, overnight batsman Rachin Ravindra's run of form continued with a top score of 70 on the second day - before becoming the second of persistent right-armer Mohammad Abbas's four victims (4-40).

Legspinner Yasir Shah (3-54 off 17) meanwhile ripped out three quick wickets in the space of two overs, starting by removing the stubborn Nathan Smith after a gritty 40 before Fletcher dug in either side of the tea break.

Opening bowler Abbas came back to end the New Zealand A first innings on 226 with consecutive strikes in the 83rd over, leaving the Pakistan Shaheens 15 overs to face in their second innings before stumps.

That was long enough for Nuttall to pick up his sixth wicket for the match, bowling Abid Ali with his fourth delivery of the second innings.

Pakistan A will resume day three at 15/1.
