What's new

New Zealand beat Australia in 3rd ODI by 55 runs and win the series 2-1

Ronchi is more than adequate as a keeper which makes him better than Wade

Wade doesn't deserve to play, is there not a better wicket keeper batsman than him ? Convict

Just 1 wicket away now...

Still can't believe we're going to defend 240.

Have to give credit to the Aussies though :P

SA, India and England would have coasted this. Aussies proving to be nothing more than FT

And let's not forget, Australia has more odi world cups than your beloved kiwis India and s Africa together

What are you so :butt hurt about? Aussie teams of the past were great, this team however is full of hacks and doesn't deserve the world champs tag, they are rubbish on any wicket which is not a flat track

Watching the match in a live stream in youtube.

Indians and Pakistanis involving in a war of words and exchanging pleasantries about their families...

A Bangladeshi spamming the board with "Mustafizur Bangladesh cutter" added with 10 heart and kiss symbols in different font colours continuously without getting tired..

Some things never change:narine

I cannot believe it, I was about to put some money on Aus too lol, to ease the pain :)))

A great send off for McCullum.

Still plenty to work on, which will be exposed against better sides.

Great win for NZ against a very good side. This will be a big confidence booster for this young side.

Shame on the Aussies, sorry bunch of Home Track Bullies.

Respect for NZ. B Mac deserved it.

NZ got away, they batted terribly.

240 was definitely not a defendable score here, fortunately we were up against a side that didn't have too many proper batsmen.

Congrats NZ..

Serious win that. Also gave a come back in the 2nd ODI too..

Overall great performance at home..

The pitch slowed up and that dual spell by bracewell and Sodhi gave us a sniff. Once the ball softened up it was hard to get away.

Nikhil_cric you telling me this Aussie team is in your favorite list above India for this worldt20 :msd they can't even play sodhi

Glad Ish got MOTM, he turned the game for us with his 2 quick wickets.

Do NZ play Ish in the Tests? The Aussies didn't play him really well at all.

You're forgetting that we are no longer great players of spin either . If the pitches take turn, our bats might struggle as well.

Good win this for NZ.

Half way through the game thought Aussies will chase this easily, I was proven wrong.

We are better than the Aussie, you can't be serious putting Aus above India for world t 20 which will take place in India, anyway I will tag you again after the World Cup :misbah

I only wish both New Zealand and especially Australia tours Bangladesh for an ODI series, but neither wants to.

What is it with Bangladeshi's and derailing threads that have nothing to do with them?

Pitches will be green
Starting to think we'd be better off going for slow wickets and playing the 2 spinners.

We play better than the aussies on slow tracks, with green tops I think it would be anyones game.

Like I've said a number of times, I don't mind looking like an idiot (read first page for the lols) as long as we win.

Well played by the Kiwis; they're a really formidable side now at home. Aus played alright too. Felt like this series required more matches to give us a proper picture, but as it is, the Kiwis played better cricket.

As far as the haters go, last I checked you guys failed to win a single game when touring NZ, and lost 4-0. Least the Aussies showed some fight.

Steve smith the home track bully gone again, maxy the hack out as well, nz were really let down by their batting, had they scored 300+ in this game and the last game they would have whitewashed the Aussies, this hack Aussie line up can't chase anything against good bowling attack, what do you think SIF sensible-indian-fan

Yeah just saw the score.

Poor performance.

Wade has got to be one of the worst wicket-keeping batsmen to come out of Australia. I have never seen him perform with the bat whenever there's iota of pressure. I don't know what Australian selectors see in him. One trick pony with the slog/pull over mid-wicket.

It's a shame Tim Paine got a serious injury otherwise he was well on his way to clinch the wicket-keeper spot, had even forced Haddin out of the team.

Can anyone tell what's the current update on Paine and who is the next in line to replace Wade in LOIs?

Ed Nuttall is a promising left armer. Should see him in the side a few years from now.

Not really sure what pace he bowls though.
I really love watching kiw pacers from the time Shane bond.. what happned to Bevan small? though he was quick and and also that Scott Ku....(can't remember surname) ???

Bevan Small has been plagued by injures. Scott CougarLion (lord knows how to spell his last name) is still around.

Ben Wheeler is another promising guy but the current crop in the NZ team is so young it will be hard for anybody to break into the side.
